Large, rather impersonal pub selling the usual good value Wetherspoon food and drink. Staff are friendly. It does get a bit noisy on Friday and Saturday nights and can be a bit intimidating but professional and courteous bouncers keep trouble-makers away. During the daytime there are places to sit outside if the weather permits. Location is good as it is... More

My wife and I visited this pub while on a shopping trip to Cwmbran with two friends. This was our first visit to this particular Wetherspoons pub. We had a short wait as it was extremely busy but the wait was well worth it. We all chose the curry and drink for £4.99 option and the meal was superb as... More

My wife and I have used this pub for a number of years for social drinking , family parties and Christmas day lunch which has been great for the first 3 years. This year we were happy that one of our daughters and her husband were able to join us for our festive feast along with the grandparents. Looking back... More

A bit of context - this was our Christmas Day lunch, we were taken here by family on their previous positive experiences over the past few years. We are not snobs and equally not pikey's, and going to this calibre of eatery you come to terms with the fact that you cant polish a turd - but (given the family... More

Always warm in the winter and very popular. Ok food and fast service. Staff work hard. Recent beers and always excellent value for money.

Straight away i notice cleanliness is poor, I often have to ask for the table to be wiped over, Good value meal but all veg is frozen and stodgy sweet selection.

It's a Wetherspoons and does it as well as you expect from a Wetherspoons- good value food and can safely say have never had a bad meal here. It's also nice to stop in for breakfasts and a few after work drinks with colleagues on a Friday. Seems to be overrun with chavs on weekend nights but generally stay away... More

Very friendly staff, and food good. As always, Wetherspoons's food is not hautecuisine but is good value for money.

We used to like the curry night but since they have discontinued the prawn option we no longer go there. Still good value for food and drink and friendly service.

Bought Rose wine. Got an unusual Cloudy and odd tasting Zinfandel. After bar staff very reluctantly taking it back, I get given a rose (not the rose I ordered but a house one) in a glass with 2 lots of lipstick on the edge. Took that back and ended up with a refund. One unhappy ex customer.
