Taken by friends in the locality - what a find !!!!! Superb food in a genuinely traditional setting. Definitely one to revisit at the earliest opportunity

Since moving to Somerset, we have visited many of the local inns and restaurants. The Bull at Hardway is the best - totally reliable for excellent service and wonderful food. We have been twice in the last couple of weeks with family and friends, and the standard never slips. Martin, Anne and the team really know how to deliver the... More

Celebrating one year in Bruton and off to our favourite Pub, The Bull. Bruton has a lot to offer ... so it's not easy to be the best. The Bull Inn quite simply is the genuine item, without pretence (ironically the slang being 'Bull'), it is The Traditional English Pub we all know and love. The service has a sincere... More

Always on the look out for somewhere to really get excited about when it comes to Sunday lunch. The Bull was recommended by my daughter who ate here with her (farmer) boyfriend. One of the things he really liked was the quality of the meat and clearly knowing the (local) source was something he valued. We visited here for an... More

Called in last week whilst on holiday, this really is a superb pub serving decent beer and superb food. Lamb done two ways was excellent and Linda's home made fish cake with prawns and poached egg was really good. Never changes this place - that's why it's always busy...

This lovely rural pub, housed in a charming 16th century building, serves very good locally sourced grass fed meat and very good pub fare. The proprietors clearly take great pride in their food and their beer and wine list, and that care carries through to make a lovely experience. The dining room by the bar is charming, and in season,... More

Relaxing pub, friendly staff and kind owners, but best of all the food - some excellent local produce - including the venison and lamb dishes which were fantastic. Proper size plates of food with no hidden extras to pay for. The puddings are all made by the landlady, I believe. One chocolate pavlova was enough for two. Will be back... More

Will go again-given opportunity and invitation(but not on a B/H as it took me 9hrs to get there). Your menu looks... More
