Amazing Lunch!

Well for a country pub just outside of Bruton, the menu had the Wow factor. I had the Daube of Beef, as it was Dexter's which i love, and my husband had a home-made burger with chips. Both were beautifully presented and cooked. The log fire was in the restaurant which only had 6 tables. We ate... read more

Stopped just for a quick lunch after walking dogs. Completely perfect , proper pub; Smiling landlord, roaring fire, good beer, great unpretentious homemade food and not tarted up, refreshing!

Four of us booked for dinner. It was steak night!! We had ribeye, prepared in-house, for £10!!! Best steak I have ever tasted - more flavour than fillet and just as succulent. Whole evening was made enjoyable with attentive staff and a log fire. Look no further for a place to enjoy a delicious meal

having failed miserably to gain admittance to the posh hostelries in Bruton, we were discussing our plight with an electricity employee up a burned telegraph pole , who directed us to the Bull. how grateful we were! such a warm welcome, lovely menu, delightful surroundings, a packed restaurant (always a good sign) and quick service. we will certainly be calling... The Bull is a nice country pub, everything a pub should be, friendly and welcoming with attentive staff, The Bull has the main bar and separate dining room, good selection of beer and ciders with extensive wine list. I had the roast lamb, very well cooked, slightly rare, came with mashed, roast and roast sweet potatoes, and 5 veg, great... More

A traditional country pub, quiet and welcoming. Always a good selection on the blackboard menu. We weren't overly hungry so opted to just have a starter and both chose the Lyme Bay scallops. They were presented beautifully and cooked to perfection, a really enjoyable light meal. We have eaten here a few times now and the food is of a... More

Great food and a friendly welcome. I've been coming here for many years, and the food has consistently been excellent. The blackboard lists what is on the menu, and because it is all fresh when a dish had gone it is rubbed out. My sons really rate the burgers in particular.
