The Perfect Pub?

This pub has everything: great ambience, excellent food, beautiful gardens AND my favourite cider, Ashton Press. Had an excellent lunch, butternut squash and broad bean risotto. Wonderful! Wish we lived nearer but we will be able to make occasional visits.

It really is just everything done well The gardens are gorgeous, the outside of the building is just so in keeping with its Somerset location and immaculately presented, inside is warm and traditional country pub also immaculate. The selection of wine and beer is everything you would want it to be - I was dissapointed that there was no Butcombe... More

This is our second visit to the Bull Inn and again we weren't disappointed. The food was absolutely fantastic and there is plenty of it. The service is also very good albeit a little slow in getting the food to the table but it was defiantly worth the wait. When we're next down we will certainly be dropping by again.

A great coubtry pub and excellent restaurant. Have eaten here many times and the food is always first class. A great atmosphere even if you just go for a drink, a very pleasant landlord.

The food was good, the portions were generous, and the prices were very reasonable. The service (we were in the restaurant) was polite and friendly, without being intrusive. We noticed that quite a number of the tables were filled with regular customers--always a good sign-- but the fact that we were not "regulars" made no difference to the way we... More

We visited this pub as it was well rated by the owners of the accommodation we stayed at in Somerset. The owners were very friendly (couldn't drag my husband away), and the food very good. The menu was more interesting than the usual pub menu, and everything was home made. The kids menu was also of a good standard. It... More

If we are out for dinner, and are looking for the best pub food in the area, this is the place we go to. Average price for a two course meal with drinks is about £20 - £30 per head depending on your choices. There is a simple menu board of innovative and tasty stuff. Friends who come to visit... More

I visited this pub today with two elderly relatives. It is obviously a popular place, but despite being full of people, we received excellent service...friendly and efficient waitresses looked after us and not too long a wait for our meal. We all chose the roast beef which was tasty, tender and perfectly cooked - which we have found is often... More

We were staying at a local Airbnb property nearby and the The Bull Inn was recommended by our host. It did not disappoint. We received a warm welcome, with friendly and efficient service. Our meal was delicious, really good value. Well worth a visit, though you may need to book as it is clearly very popular with good reason.k
