Great setting and a coeliac's delight!

Not an especially exciting interior but a great setting for a cafe with a nice terrace protected by glass allowing you look out at the beach and the sea. We thought our lunch was excellent value. My partner had a pasty with chips and a well dressed baby leaf salad. Unusually I was really... read more

We visited several times with our toddler during 2014 and really enjoyed the extensive and imaginative menu. So it was a big disappointment to find, on visiting in June 2015, that all the nice salads etc. from the menu have gone, leaving fairly ordinary burgers'n'chips type choices only. A real shame!

It is a beach cafe which is supposed to be award winning but I think it was a bit expensive especially if I had paid to park. The food seemed OK but nothing special.

Had to pay £4 for parking, but I suppose if you are planning to stay for a few hours its not too bad.we only wanted a look and maybe a coffee.the beach is not sand but tiny little pebbles.slopes sharply down to the water.the cafe area is grubby and untidy.average look warm coffee.would have returned it if the service wasnt... The food was consistently amazing and the staff were really helpful. There was something for everyone, vegetarian and non-vegetarian. Good value and very high quality.

This beach cafeteria seems to rely on its great location, rather than maintain its high standards of past years. The tables were grubby because the staff were not wiping them down. We had to clear dirty plates from the table ourselves, even though it was not especially busy. We were given a teapot with only luke-warm water. When we returned... More

It was a hot afternoon and we'd walked from Beesands, so hungry and tired. Thank goodness this wonderful cafe was open for us, we sat in the sun and had a very tasty late lunch.

Its beach location is a winner and in bad weather the sea and sky can be amazing when viewed from the inside shelter of the cafe. Their fish pie is the best I have ever had when eating out, and their fish'n chips ever tasty and reliable. The cafe is always full of families with children, straight off the beach,... More

My 12 year old grandson and I visited the Venus Cave at Blackpool Sands last Sunday, he had his usual of fish and chips which he rates highly and which looked very good. I wanted a healthier option so chose the crab sandwich. What a disappointment! Dry bread, but worse, the crab was full of bits of shell. I should... More

The location is great and the quality and sourcing of the ingredients is much hyped. Ordering is confusing and the meals themselves are not much better than average. Still worth a visit on an April day. Wouldn't want to be there in mid summer!
