Food is very average and pricey

The setting of the restaurant at the resort is stunningly beautiful. The staff are friendly and welcoming. However - the food leaves a lot to be desired. Pretty average fare for what you pay for. We stayed at the Rarotongan Resort and ate here several times with varying experiences. The first time we ate there was for lunch. I had the bread with dips and found the hummus to be the worst and most tasteless hummus I had eaten. My husband found the seafood chowder to be very average. The squid rings were good though... This is supposed to be an international resort. Had to wait at the bar to order , no table service. The atmosphere is pleasent but tired and dated. The chips were just warm from frozen. $20 for a coldish toasted sandwich is to much. Across the road is $8 -10 for a tasty burger and you can still sit on... More

Limited menu but excellent value. The seafood platter is worth trying. This offers better value than the Sanctuary restaurant which has deteriorated

We had the seafood chowder and parrot fish. The chowder was average with very small pieces of fish in and one & half shrimp. The Parrot fish was average and not up to past standards. Cocktails were fine. Not many people dining in and overall a very average meal. $62-80 Inc two drinks.

We ate a few times while staying in Rarotonga, their burgers are AMAZING. There isn't a long wait for your food which is great as well. Staff are very friendly

Food was standard, can take a while to arrive... so don't be in a hurry. The meal size is good, a lot of battered items... and very New Zealand items, would be good to see more local food. Nice area to eat in, next to the pool but can get very windy. We ate here 3 nights out of the... More

The food was excellent. The cuisine was distinctly New Zealand which was a little disappointing because we wanted local food. Prices ~$30/main. I probably wouldn't return. It's not worth waiting an hour and a half when the restaurant is mostly empty.

Really good pub food and kids meals. A wide variety of meal options. A kids meal would do an adult for lunch. Could be a little slow to come out at times, but you're on island time so it didn't really matter.
