Decided to go out of our resort for a cooked breakfast one morning. This was not good the service was good I will say. I ate all the breakfast because we ere paying for it my husband made the right choice by not eating all of it. This was our second last day of our trip and I ended up... More

We were staying at the Palm Grove and had dismal breakfasts at the Yellow Hibiscus. The server/hostess was quite bored with it all I felt. We did one dinner there as well, and regretted that decision. A few of the items were missing from the menu, and there was very little on the menu that was interesting. Nothing much at... More

We went to the Yellow Hibiscus for the Sunday night BBQ. The BBQ consisted of a choice of steak or fish, and a salad bar. My fish was pretty much cold even though it went straight from the BBQ to my plate. The salad bar was not bad, but the dessert was another disappointment. We thought we would go up... More

The food choices might appeal more toward Aussies or Kiwis but definitely not Americans. The sausages are comparable to hot dogs and I felt the bacon and the eggs were undercooked. There was a drink bar set up in another room so you could refill your own juice or coffee as needed which is good because you may not see... More

As it was our last day and we had run out of breakfast supplies, we rocked up to the Yellow Hibiscus around 9.30am without a reservation. The waitress was really chirpy and nothing seemed to be a problem but I suspect she had had a great night out on the town after overhearing her chat with some hungover guests who... More

This was our first time at Yellow Hibiscus and I would certainly go back again. The menu was extensive with plenty of choices for all, service was relaxed and friendly and the food was very tasty. Three of our party had the lamb medallions with herb mashed potatoes and fresh steamed vegetables. The lamb was cooked to perfection and was... More

We chose this restaurant because we read great reviews in local Cook Island Magazines and news papers about it but we where bitterly disappointed. We where seated by a very inexperienced waitress who told us she wouldn't take our order for a while because the Chef was getting stressed and might explode. When she did take our order we waited... We ate a few dinners here because we were staying at Palm Grove where the Yellow Hisbiscus is located. The menu isn't large and quite a few items were missing during our stay (?seasonal reasons), so it made it a little more limited, but we always found something to eat. Everything was delicious and the portions were very generous. Prices... More

Depends which chef is on, my last time there the food took hours and was very average, previously have had great steaks, chicken dishes etc. Also service poor because they took too many walk-ins at the expense of those that had made reservations.
