Paon Doeloe is the main restaurant at Taman Bhagawan, with a name inspired by the traditional kitchen, which serves as the heart and soul of every Indonesian household. This unpretentious beachfront restaurant takes form in an authentic Javanese Joglo house with an infinity swimming pool that enjoys views of Tanjung Benoa Beach and Mount Agung. The Joglo structure features a high pyramid-like roof, constructed to resemble a mountain, which is supported by four main wooden support columns known as saka guru. Elegant colonial-style table settings and comfortable sofas with batik cushions for an indigenous dining experience have become the trademark of this Bali's most unique dining spot. For a more intimate experience, enjoy a picnic-style dining experience with rustic bamboo mats and colourful cushions which are available across the lawn under the canopy of trees while enjoying the enchanting Javanese songs and the gentle breeze of the ocean and the magnificent backdrop of the majestic Mount Agung. Within only 30 minutes from Bali's international airport and nestled within the manicured grounds of Taman Bhagawan, Paon Doeloe is open daily for lunch and dinner from 10am to 10pm, and is Bali's leading tropical lifestyle facility for leisurely hours to soak up the sun and sophisticated evenings enhanced by Indonesian and Asian fusion favourites. To augment the dining experience, this semi open-air venue has spaces adorned with various traditional ornaments such as Javanese statues, vases, and other art pieces from across Indonesia. Vintage decor such as old becak rickshaws and andong horse carts are found in certain spaces inside and out. The ethnic concept extends to the cuisine. Local and regional cuisine colour the menu at Paon Doeloe. It serves as a great place for those looking forward to trying out exotic flavours during their Bali holiday, and is also the go-to spot to indulge in the ultimate Balinese, Indonesian and Southeast Asian all-day dining experience with friends and family. The variety of cuisine is available ala carte, with several set menu options available for lunch and dinner. Diners can opt for the cosy indoors or go alfresco under subtly lit lanterns hanging from trees with spectacular ocean views and gentle sea breezes - perfect for romantic beachfront dinners. Romantic packages complete the experience.

ROMANTIC BEACHFRONT RESTAURANT

We were staying in a hotel nearby and I had read good reviews on TA about this restaurant so we decided to try it out. It is a very beautiful setting. Food was great. Very good service. Reasonably priced. We enjoyed it so much that we went back to eat there a second night which is something we... read more

After reading all the fabulous reviews we were so looking forward to hanging out at the beach club for the afternoon, having some lazy drinks and indulging in dinner. We shopped and then walked about an hour to beach the club. It was 34 degrees, so very hot. We arrived hot and sweaty and were provided a welcome drink and... More

I liked the service, staff food and ambience' A lovely place to spend and evening or a day lounging around the pool. The gardens are beautiful and there are pavilions for special romantic occasions.

Lovely food and lovely staff - a driver picked us up from our hotel and dropped us back which is an excellent service. Unfortunately they do not have a kids menu anymore and it was a little difficult for our kids to find much to eat although our 11 year old lived the Nasi Goreng. Good was spicy but delicious.... As this was just a short walk from Conrad and it had positive reviews, we thought we'd try out Paon. We were surprised by how few people were dining, I guess as it is not street front it doesn't get the walk in customers, anyway the food was great. We shared a few dished, the crispy shredded duck was lovely... More

Dear Orgia, Thank you for your remarks and for sharing your visit to Paon Doeloe at Taman Bhagawan.
