Despite having almost no clients (around half of the place was empty) every dish took an eternity to arrive to the table. Luckly the wine selection helped to lose the notion of time (and buckets of money). Food was a little bit boring but acceptable. Nice atmosphere, nice staff, but very bad experience in general due to the slow unjustified... More

The cocktails were certainly enjoyable but the restaurant failed to appeal. There is only one asian option on the menu (Javanese prawns) and we certainly were not impressed by the choices available. The food we chose, Javanese prawns and ham pizza were hardly tasty and pleasant. The service was a bit slow though friendly enough. We have had good meals... More

We first went to Sakala in Feb 2012. It was amazing. We have been back 6 times since. We were there in March and it was still great. Sadly, when we were there yesterday, it was a big disappointment. The food was not quite as good as usual. Mediocre to say the least. The service.... it was a big letdown.... More

Such a nice place and work in the food presentation ruined by tiny portions and extremely high prices. Servce was attentive but the explanation of the dishes was minimal (and our waiter did not even know the type of two of the cheeses we ordered).

My wife and I dined here on my honeymoon, and thoroughly enjoyed the food. Though the portions were small for the price, we would definitely recommend both the Balinese pork trio and the sweet potato gnocchi, as they were two of the top dishes we had in Bali. We had a reservation for 7pm, and the restaurant even provided a... More

We celebrated my parents' 50th wedding anniversary at Sakala with 3 generations. The meal was amongst the best of our lives - superb presentation and amazing taste combinations. The chef really knows what he or she is doing. We ordered mains and desserts, but they also provided complimentary bite size tasters of delicious goodies plus little boxes of mini choc/meringues.... My family went to Sakala to celebrate my parents-in-law's 50th wedding anniversary. It was the perfect place for the celebration. The lamb was amazing and all of the desserts were incredible. Thank-you Sakala!

We dined here for there lunch Tapas menu. Lots of dishes but all mainly seafood. We had the kids and ordered the kids meals but they were very small and only one chicken nugget per serve but overrated in the price. Wouldn't eat here again, especially with children as it was obvious they weren't overly welcome. Drinks higher than prices... More

When it comes to French dining you expect the presentation to be great and this was no exception. The staff were very attentive however very the restaurant was quiet and we were only 1 of 4 tables. It was also disappointing that one of the tables the patrons were wearing singlets and boardies! The staff should not have allowed this... More
