Simple seafood but superb!

My second lunch at Kishorn whilst toodling around Scotland and just as good as the first. Remember, this isn't a restaurant, it's a "Seafood Bar" which serves very tasty, fresh food and which, when I visited, was being run by two women sharing cooking and serving. That's it, what more do you need... read more

Stopped for a late lunch. Charming owner chatty & laid back. Seafood platter delish, as were squat lobster tails, mussels & salmon. The "dillicious" sauce is a perfect accompaniment to the salmon. Recommending this place for 10 years & will continue to do so

Having driven past this little place a couple of times it looked welcoming from the roadside so we thought we give it a try for lunch. There were 2 ladies behind the counter - one serving and the other preparing the food. The lady preparing the food didn't say hello or goobye and was moaning about something throughout our 30... We visited here in September with friends, lovely rustic seafood bar, with a good selection of fish, portions rather on the small side and my Cullen skink had very tiny bits of haddock in it and lacked creaminess, however the other three in our party really enjoyed their food and we would all return again so I guess that says... We had some very tasty crab rolls - and admired the seafood salad the people on the table next to us were enjoying! The staff were preparing mussels and oysters on view and all looked very fresh and tasty.

Stopped off here whilst passing through on the scenic route from Skye to Inverness. The seafood bar is delightfully situated on the loch, and takes the form of a beautifully painted wooden building with inside and outside tables, almost Scandinavian in appearance. My wife had the 'squat lobster tails', a local delicacy, which she thoroughly enjoyed, whilst I went for... More

We called into the Kishorn Seafood Bar for an evening meal after seeing it recommended in the press. It's certainly a very small place with just five tables inside and two outside. We had heard that the portions weren't huge so ordered Cullen Skink and smoked salmon as starters and a seafood platter for our main. Smoked salmon was good,... More

Imagine a down to earth cafe with no pretentions that serves the most wonderful food at a very reasonable price and you have got it. We had the seafood platter designed for sharing and it was heavenly. If you like to eat the very best food with a minimum of fuss this place is for you

Menu hits the spot. However. Lots of seafood choice. My cullen skink was overly salty and the scallops were overly done. Coud do better but there again ... there is no compeition.

We found this little seafood cafe on our travels around Wester Ross and to Plockton. We passed it in the morning returned in the afternoon on our return to Torridon to have some lunch. We found it very quirky with many fish dishes to choose from, including crab, oysters, lobster tails, scallops and other non fish choices. We were lucky... More
