A bit expensive, but it worths it

the best thing I have eaten in El Hierro was in El Regugio : camarones frescas naturales : hyper fresh, real taste, ...simplicity and honesty : what else ?

Warm fish soup of yesterdays left overs. The fish in it had once been tasty- no longer. Fish platter at 12 eu each, fish heads fish tails and lots of bones, roasted, deep fried. I gave up. Too many bones. Canarian potatoes were just boiled potatoes. Aoli rather good. but Ive had better mojos Card machine didn't work so luckily... More

I visited this restaurant several times from 1989 to 2004 and then on 8th March 2014. My travelling partner found the fish unappetising and somewhat over-priced. We had a better, cheaper meal a few days later at La Pena. The experience was sad as I had been expecting something better. Thus I am surprised to read the good reviews of... More

I love this place. Its small, family run and always full of locals. you can't do Restinga without eating here at least once. AND you should come..It's the the best island in the Canaries by far. Divers paradise.

Interesting and varied menu, including all the local suspects. Very good mojos, lovely fresh bread. Winelist more mainland Spain, but they have Hierran wines if you ask. Inside the restaurant several small rooms which are friendly and have atmosphere. You can also eat outside, but it's a pedestrian side street so no view (but no traffic either)

We spent one night in Restinga and chose this place based on asking around at the airport about where is good to try some local fish. As a starter we chose the Gofio Escaldado, a canarian dish of toasted maize and fish stock, rather than explaining more, you should have a try the next time you are at a reasonable... More

Manolo & his brother serve the best Mojo in town. The fresh fish is always good. Prices are reasonable too. This place is always first on our list in La Restinga.
