We rented a car for the day and were out exploring the island an ran across this place. Lunch time is very quiet - or at least on the day we went, so we were the only ones there at first which can make you skeptical, but so pleased we stayed. We had shrimp dumplings for an appetizer and tuna... More

This was one of the best restaurants we have EVER eaten at. It was excellent. Food was fantastic, so good, we went back a second time. The shrimp dumplings were out of the world and the duck was superb. Get the profiteroles for dessert, you won't be sorry.

This should be on your list of places to eat if you want a really lovely, classic meal. The ride to get to the restaurant takes awhile, but it's worth it.

Wonderful food and within walking distance from the Intercontinental Hotel... Highly recommend this for a romantic dinner or special event.

Not much to add to the other rave reviews here. Especially if you're staying on this side of the island, there's no excuse to skip this restaurant -- even if your cranky concierge at the Intercontinental rolls her eyes at you. Not sure what the complaints are about slow service. The place was packed when we went and there was... More

Our dinner at the Mayflower was a quite good. We read somewhere that lobster ravioli was their specialty so we shared that and the vegetable ravioli with goat cheese sauce. Both dishes had amazing sauces that we used the last of our bread to soak up. I know, not the best manners, but we couldn't let any of the amazing... More

Pricey, but delicious! The fish beautifully presented with a curry sauce on the side - fantastic. Service was slow and they were not very busy at lunch, so that was too bad.

Several couples we spoke to at our hotel recommended that we head over to The Mayflower - and we were so glad we did. The free pick up from your hotel is great and we did not have a minimum of diners to meet like some other restaurants on the island. The ambiance and the décor were romantic. It was... More

Excellent food. The shrimp dumplings with the ginger sauce were brilliant (and I'm not a huge seafood fan), and would stand out in a restaurant anywhere (London, Paris, Hong Kong included). Lobster ravioli were also polished and flavoursome. The wine list catered for most ranges, despite being shorter than others, and had a very interesting local pineapple wine which we... More

This restaurant is living off its reputation. The atmosphere was average. The food was average. But the prices were not. We were hoping for a special dinner but it was not.
