well presented and delicious

We started off with scallop ginger dumplings which had great flavour, followed by mahi mahi curry and tuna...both were fantastic and soft and succulent. Great overall and washed down with a great bottle of french Chardonnay.

Excellent dinner. We really enjoyed our meal at Mayflower. I don't know that it was better than Te Honu Iti or Le Cocos though. I disliked that they don't provide a shuttle service and really disliked the attitude of "we're so good we don't have to"- they're not that good. If you can share a ride with someone it's worth... This restaurant was amazing. The owner was right on premises and made sure that no detail was left to chance. The food was superb and it made for a cozy dining experience.

My wife and I did some research on this place and it was highly recommended. We booked our reservations and to our surprise the transportation was not included like most other restaurants on the island. The price was cheap 1000 Franc for pickup and drop off. Once we arrived at the mayflower we were greeted by the staff who quickly... More

Dined here on another recommendation from our hotel Concierge. Surprisingly this restaurant does not offer free pick up from hotels but does offer a discount can fee rate. Was told it didn't offer free ride cause it was the number one choice in the area. The restaurant ambience was Romanic and nicely decorated. The food was very good albeit small... More

I cannot write enough good things about this place. From the comfortable and quaint atmosphere, to the friendly staff, to the delectable food - my husband and I went 2 times in the 4 days we were there!! The specials and tuna carpaccio were highlights, but there wasn't a thing we had here that we didn't love. Worth the cab... More

The only thing saving this from a two star review is the ravioli appetizer which was small for the $$$ but really good. Otherwise the "specialty" beef dish was comparable to medallions of stew meat... Completely overcooked covered in a dark brown gravy. Even the wine recommended was a disappointment. Three other diners at the table ordered fish, a vegetarian... More

So our food was just beyond fantastic. I had the foie gras with duck and my husband had the flank steak with blue cheese reduction. It was perfectly cooked and the sauces were everything I hoped the French would deliver. The restaurant is reasonable considering how expensive the island is and we regret not going here twice- we gave the... More

Definitely the best on the island with the hiltons main restaurant close behind. Delicious wine! Amazing honey duck, duck leg, lobster ravioli and prawns and scallops! The staff are very polite and friendly and the atmosphere is very nice. Kind of feels like you are sitting in the inside of a wooden ship. It's worth the taxi from the Hilton... More

Wow this is a true treasure! Fabulous French dining at its best for reasonable cost! We had a delicious salad that we shared to start. My husband had the signature lobster ravioli and it was worth every rave possible. I had the shrimp and scallops. The sauce was nothing short of perfect! Light and so flavorful! We had the eclair...
