We visited The Anchorage Restaurant and Bar for lunch one day. It was VERY hot and stuffy and although the staff put the fan on, it would have been more helpful to open up the sides of the restaurant. We will all very disappointed with our meals. Not at all impressed. Won't be coming back again.

I dined here for breakfast and dinner on separate days late March. The cooked breakfast was scrambled eggs with very fatty under-cooked bacon (microwaved?) and a oily soggy hash brown - eeek I could only eat the eggs. The dinner was on their BBQ evening. A dirty old bbq was wheeled out in front of everyone. Fish, steaks and chops... More

Was recently taken to the Anchorage for a work dinner. I had often seen the sign advertising this restaurant however because it is down a long driveway you weren't able to see anything. I have to say that I was pleasantly surprised. Whilst the restaurant doesn't have a sea view the restaurant had a lovely feel to it. All of... More

We enjoyed a lovely meal at Anchorage but as other reviewers have mentioned the staff do nothing to make an evening out a memorial occasion for diners.

We had dinner here 4 times, including the Sunday BBQ. Food was really tasty and good portions. Service was slow. Quite slow. The drinks from the bar were good, but again, slow. The employees acted as if they didn't really care too much about the customers. I asked one of the bartenders if I could have 4 straws to take... More

We stayed at the Sunset Resort for 6 nights and ate her once only for dinner but had the complimentary brekkie every day plus other items from the breakfast menu. Dinner was very average, we had not even started our entree when the waitress came out holding our mains. They took them back to the kitchen and the food sat... More

This is most definitely a resort of Hawaiian caliber, but Raro is a little more low key so I prefer to have a low key eatery as well. This was a little staunch, but the food was really great and fresh. And though my husband and I were one of only two other tables, service was pretty slow. Still, a... More

We had continental breakfast included during our stay at the sunset resort. It consisted of fruit, yoghurt and toast. This would be the most basic breakfast option we have had in any resort or hotel. A croissant and/or pastry would go a long way, as wood a boiled egg, or the option of ordering one. The service was terrible with... More

We were staying just a little way from Sunset. We eat here about 3 times. Plus came to the happy hour. Food was priced reasonable. The food its self was very nice no complaints. Better than where we were staying that's for sure. Yuk. Look forward to our next trip as we will defiantly be staying at the sunset. Cant... More
