A friend and I went here for lunch hoping to have a nice meal... The waitress took our order and then came back and told us that they didn't have what we wanted which we wish she had known before and had told us when we sat down. We ordered another starter or haggis and black pudding fritters which was... More

My wife and I had been to Mill of Mundurno not far from Balmedie on our way home. After waiting in a largely empty restaurant for 45 minutes and no food and surly service we left and came here. The food was excellent, the young lady waiting table was cheerful and very helpful (my wife is coeliac) and our experience... More

We have just moved to the area and were pleasantly surprised by the meal we had here on moving day. I had steak with wild mushrooms which was really excellent and my husband had the steak pie - usual pub thing of separately cooked filling and top but he enjoyed it. The cheesecake pudding tasted home made and was very... More

I used to love coming to The White Horse and was looking forward to a return trip after many years away. I wish I hadn't bothered. The steak pie was literally inedible. The meat was tough, tasteless and fatty. I couldn't even swallow it. The mash tasted like smash (as far as I remember from my student days!) and was... More

I note your unfortunate review and would comment as follows. The steak pie is made from the finest cuts of Aberdeen Angus. This is the first complaint I can remember on the quality of the meat. I was working that shift and remember your table. I checked your plate when it arrived back in the kitchen and in my mind... More

I feel totally mislead by the imagery on the website....The staff are lovely, but the rooms are damp and dated. The food in the restaurant was passable (at the second attempt - the chef overcooked my eggs benedict), but took forever to arrive in an empty restaurant. Wouldn't recommend it. Premier Inn down the road nearer to The Bridge of... More

It's disappointing that we did not meet your expectations for a hotel. I am happy that the product we offer is completely transparent and represents value for money in the local market. All the images on the internet that we manage are current and are a true reflection of our offer. Our rooms whilst dated are immaculate, with good showers... More

We often choose to drive out to the white horse inn for a meal rather than heading into the city centre. There is always something on the menu that takes my fancy and everything I've tried so far has been very good. Reasonably priced too! Will continue to visit in the future
