Genuine food made with passion

My husband and I came here with a friend and have never forgotten this place. The owner came to the table without giving menu's. Our friend told him: surprise us! He instantly came up with things to make suggesting a few starters, two different pastas to taste, a large quantity of grilled meat... read more

It was only by chance that we ended up staying here, but it was the highlight of our entire trip through Italy. Massimo & Irene were lovely, helpful, generous and down-to-earth hosts who made sure we were happy the whole time. The meals were made from scratch, all their own products (or locally sourced) so fresh and made with love.... More

The Chiacchierini is represented by three generations, all are working together for creating an ambient which for sure you will miss shortly after you had to leave. The food is dangerously tasty for ruining all diets, so if you intend to go there having in mind to taste only, forget it, it's better to go in another place. Clean place,... More

The agriturismo system in Italy is one of the main reasons to travel by car in Italy. You can't get here by train or bus. Those driving can visit wonderful places like Agriturismo Pettino, run by Massimo and family. They have done a fabulous job on the building, inside and out. The location is pristine, with beautiful fields just outside... More

We visited Massimo's place during a long trip to Italy and France, staying overnight. Both the dinner and breakfast were excellent--I'd say the dinner was the best meal we had in Italy, home-made and delicious. The rooms were clean and nice with a view out over the small valley. We heard cuckoos calling in the woods, cowbells from across the... More

We travel to Italy every year with friends and this past fall decided to revisit some of our favorite towns. Montefalco certainly qualifies as one of those for sure! In preparation for our trip, I began researching some of the more "off the beaten path" locations outside of Montefalco where we could have lunch and spend the day exploring. I... More

Its like staying with family & as we all know "mum always cooks the best food". There are many sublime dishes that feature Truffles Pettino is located in a beautiful valley that... More
