Little gem in Raheny

I must admit when you look at where this restaurant is situated, you think it's going to be underwhelming, at best. However upon entry to this hidden gem, everything changes. Went last Monday night with girls for a catch up. Initially we had said we would go for the early bird menu and then we spotted knickerbocker glory as a listed desert on the a la carte menu We had the Salmon delicious we both agreed and then the knickerbocker glory pure heaven Lovely waitress served us. By the time... More

We came here for Christmas lunch as our Christmas Party for work and we felt more of a nuisance than anything else, reminders of our limited time before we had begun, utterly low service and were quite irritated at those who wanted less than 3 courses or gluten free options. Great dinner at Mc Hugh's for a family meal after Christmas. Food was great. I had the chicken wings which are really great and I have yet to find better anywhere else in Dublin. I went for the Daube of beef which just melted in the mouth. The wine was excellent as it the choice of beers on offer. One... More

Quite superb. Excellent food at very attractive prices and most helpful staff. A gem - just go and tell me if I am wrong. Bring sat nav as location is a little tricky. Seamus

While the food here is very good the lunchtime menu (which reasonably priced for a two course meal) is limited. House wine at over €20 a bottle is pricey. Staff are homely rather than professional. The choice of music is questionable and would not be to everyone's taste. There is little real atmosphere. It may well be better at dinner... More

We have eaten here on a number of occasions and always found the food and service excellent. Ate here again on Wednesday night and discovered they had changed the menu to an Autumn theme. There was a dish on the old menu we loved and were disappointed not to see it on the new. When we enquired were delighted when... More
