A good place to eat on the beach.

My first impression of Hemingway's at Pensacola Beach was it was the best looking place in the stretch of restaurants along the beach. It has more of an upscale appearance than its neighbors, so we thought we'd give it a try. It was a Wednesday night and the restaurant wasn't particularly busy. We... read more

we were looking for a decent place to eat in Pensacola and walked past Hemingway's. It looked nice from the outside so we decided to make a reservation for next day to enjoy a meal there. When we arrived at our reservation time, we were immediately seated on a covered outdoor seating area. Overall, the food was decent. It was... More

Food was fantastic if not a little pricy. It was great out on the patio, the beach and bay in the background. The service was a little slow, but the other factors made it great.

We visited for a friends birthday party, and we holed up on the upper deck bar. On a nice breezy evening, its very relaxing. I would suggest this place for drinks at least. I did eat here once before and I recall the food being good, although, being from Florida, I know a tourist priced place when I see one.

We went to Hemingway's as part of a large group (wedding party). Since we were given a limited menu (because of the group size and the planner's choice), it is hard for me to say how good Hemingway's might be. I had fried shrimp and did allow me to get veggies instead of fries (always a good thing when you... More

Seven in our group during Spring Break and we were seated on the covered deck for dinner after a short wait for a table. I wished we had gotten there earlier so that we could have enjoyed the view. Our waiter was pleasant and had a great sense of humor, joking with my 15yr old about an "upcharge" for Pepper... More

Hemingway's Island Grill, located on Pensacola Beach, FL is part of a chain of eateries serving up a variety of food in a large, open dining area. The atmosphere was rather noisy, as a result, and it was difficult to converse with fellow diners. We were a party of six, and most of the food was not well-presented, more like... More

We ate here with a group one evening. Service was pretty good and the food was even better. We had the Madura, sweet plantains with a dipping sauce which was enjoyable. Tried the Havana Gun Club steak and salad. Also had the pork tenderloin which good. Both were good. Beautiful view of the bay. Have no hesitation about recommending this... More

I have eaten here several times over the years when we are in the area. There is a bar downstairs, restaurant in the middle and bar at the top. It's a nice place to hang when the weather is nice because of the views. The food is good. It's hard to go wrong if you order the fresh catch.

Our waiter was very attentive and kind. The atmosphere was worth the stop. For the food it was split with our family. The salad with mozzarella balls, tomato, chicken and balsamic dressing was very good. My daughter loved the mahi-mahi. My husband got the ribeye and was not impressed. My other daughter got the hamburger and didn't really like it.... More
