Description: The Grand Marlin Restaurant features a main dining area with a shucked to order oyster bar, exterior North Drop Bar overlooking the beautiful Santa Rosa Sound, and private meeting rooms. This Pensacola Beach restaurant, with an air of island casualness, serves the highest-quality cuisine, including the freshest local seafood featured on menus designed and printed daily to take advantage of the local bounty. The atmosphere creates a fusion of the Caribbean and the Pensacola Bay Area. Executive Chef Gregg McCarthy has a passion for great-tasting food and particularly loves working his culinary magic with fresh Gulf Coast seafood. Boaters and beach-goers feel comfortable in shorts and flip-flops at the oyster bar, in the dining room and at the North Drop Bar. The Grand Marlin has a space and atmosphere for all occasions and is looking forward to creating an authentic experience between time and tide.

The Grand Marlin was built to withstand class 12!! Hurricanes. It Has a fortress feel even though it has open air dining and an outside bar. I'm a local and always look forward to the after Labor Day happy hour food specials which were excellent and generous!! I was very disappointed to learn that the famous Sunday Angus Burger for... The Grand Marlin is built up high above the water. You ride an elevator up to the restaurant. The walls are windows, huge windows that are open with small fans blowing in the air. Birds are flying by and you get the feel of being in the sky. We ate snapper and grouper and it was prepared excellent. It is... More

Yes this is a little pricier for some, but once you experience the food you'll know why. I was able to split my meal as the portion sizes are very generous. The fish they use is fresh and the menu is written twice a day. I will return as I was very impressed. I highly recommend this place.

First time here and you won't be sorry! The mojito are perfect, the scallops delicious and the atmosphere is very relaxing. Try to sit outside and enjoy the sound of the ocean!

You are NOT READY for the beauty of this restaurant! Beautiful construction, lovely restrooms, delightful seating inside and out. We took food to go so I cannot attest to table service, but I can say my order was ready in amazing time considering I did not call ahead and was absolutely delectable. We will be back!

We own a home in Pensacola and have dined at dozens of restaurants, but always missed The Grand Marlin. The oysters, both on the half shell and fried, could easily qualify as the best I've ever had. The fried ones were very large and tasty in an excellent batter with a delicious dipping sauce. The other outstanding dish was desert.... More

We went to the Grand Marlin for lunch. The shrimp po-boy was good, but not outstanding. The fried shrimp plate was the same...good, but not outstanding. The problem was the service. The restaurant was not busy at all,,but the waiters left and we could not find anyone to refill our tea. I finally had to get up out of my... More

I have been to the Grand Marlin many times, and have always had a great experience. The service is always good, even when the place is packed. The food is excellent, and there are always specials and new dishes offered. We love their grilled oysters! The bar outside is a nice place to wait, and there is usually live music... More
