Description: The Grand Marlin Restaurant features a main dining area with a shucked to order oyster bar, exterior North Drop Bar overlooking the beautiful Santa Rosa Sound, and private meeting rooms. This Pensacola Beach restaurant, with an air of island casualness, serves the highest-quality cuisine, including the freshest local seafood featured on menus designed and printed daily to take advantage of the local bounty. The atmosphere creates a fusion of the Caribbean and the Pensacola Bay Area. Executive Chef Gregg McCarthy has a passion for great-tasting food and particularly loves working his culinary magic with fresh Gulf Coast seafood. Boaters and beach-goers feel comfortable in shorts and flip-flops at the oyster bar, in the dining room and at the North Drop Bar. The Grand Marlin has a space and atmosphere for all occasions and is looking forward to creating an authentic experience between time and tide.

My wife and I had a most pleasurable dining experience on April 16th, which was her birthday. The reserved table was available at the proper time, the service fantastic, and the food was some of the best we have ever eaten. I highly recommend the Grand Marlin for special events. We will keep this on a short list of restaurants... More

You only have to read a few of the reviews to realise that you won't go wrong with a choice from the list of seafood options on the menu. Expensive, yes, but worth the price for the excellent standard of food. The location is nice with views across the water from both sides of the restaurant. There are a number... More

As others have stated, the best food on the island and top 5 in Pensacola. Their prime rib is always a favorite. Mine is listed above. The salads are very good. Love the oysters! Ceviche is the best. The views and the bar are great too. Go, now.

Wonderful first class resturant on Santa Rosa sound with boat docks. We have been there many times and the food is always first class . Very affordable bloody Mary's and Champange with brunch menu . Specials most days. Great deck with bar and seating and sometimes music.

Grand Marlin without a doubt serves the best food on Pensacola Beach. It is pricey, but worth it. Quality of the dishes make the meals here some of the best meals I have ever eaten in a restaurant. It can be a bit loud, poor accoustics, at times. This is the only drawback.

Steamed PEI mussels with the best broth ever, oysters bienville, large, plump and delicious. Main course of cracklings pork hock with red cabbage, and sea scallops with ginger soy sauce. Quality of food was the best of our trip, yet prices were reasonable compared to upscale restaurants in large cities. Enjoyed the casual atmosphere, live music and great. Views.

We've been coming to Pensacola Beach for years. How is it we never tried The Grand Marlin before? Guaranteed it's now a must stop. We went with 2 adults, 1 Senior, and a 15 year old. First thing you notice is a long stairway to get to the restaurant. Almost kept us away because of our 84 year old Mother... More

The rave reviews here surprise me, because our experience was not good. We went for the Monday-night oyster special, but the chef should have been embarrassed to serve such measly, tasteless oysters. (Some were smaller than a dime and paper-thin.) The beer selection was terrible (and I really don't understand why places that pride themselves on their wine and cocktails... More

We were here with a group. The appetizers were very good-shrimp, bruschetta, and blue cheese chips. Good salad. Fish was great and so was steak. Attentive waiters. Delicious desserts. We were. Wry pleased all around and would definitely go back.

Third year back and never disappoints. Great views. Great food. The pork bone-in is huge and delicious. The apple/onion side a bit weird. But the pecan cup dessert is magical. Service is great. You'll be glad you ate here!
