We wished that we had gone to the store and bought a picnic. I am not often very critical of places (see other reviews) but this place was quite grim. Our waitress, though nice, was overworked and ultimately kept forgetting to bring our order. At the end though she actually cleared my partners plate before he had finished eating!!The rest... More

Place looked pretty average, but the service was decent and the food surprisingly good. In comparison to other restaurants in the area it was by far the best we had. The pizza was fine, bu the ribs were actually excellent: tender, juicy, smoky, and with a delicious BBQ sauce. A definite hit.

While staying in the nearby cabins, this was about the only place - without a drive - to eat after a day of hiking. Had dinner two nights. Pizza was pretty good, but the second nights meal less so. My wife's meal was good, but my ribs were rather tasteless. I will say I am from the south and was... More

Food here was just ok. Nothing worth going back for. Service was terrible. VERY slow to just get greeted by server. Food prep and delivery was very slow as well. Water glass never kept full. Had to get my own refill. When I got up to get it, I found our server and several others standing around chatting. This combined... More

Good day SJBN - My apologies for the lack of service you experienced in our restaurant. We have identified that service staff is in need of some additional training and have scheduled "Guest Path" customer service training to take place immediately for our restaurant crew. I hope that if your travels bring you back to Kings Canyon that you will... More

Long wait to get seated. Long wait to get served. Over cooked food. Served cold. Not much choice. Sold us a bottle of wine near the registration desk and them they wanted $12 to open it. What? But as others have said no choice here. Place lacks strong management.

I would strongly urge you to avoid this place, although you may struggle due to the fact there's nothing else around. We were hoping to stop somewhere for lunch on the way to the park, but past Fresno there were hardly any options, and certainly nowhere that looked appealing. The service was absolutely appalling, the staff were lazy, disorganised, unenthusiastic... More

This restaurant is a great place to eat at while your staying at Grants Grove. The service was outstanding, the food was great, the prices were decent on your traveling budget, and while dining you get to view out the windows where the waitresses will let you know when or if any wildlife can be seen while your dining and... It is the only restaurant in the Grant Grove area. So they have you trapped. It is overpriced and under flavored.

We made the same mistake as others before us by assuming there would be restaurants aplenty to choose from on the way to Kings Canyon. Unfortunately, this was our only choice, and boy, was it one hot mess. Our server did her best, but it was disorganized to say the least. Food took over 45 minutes, after we had to... More
