Sunday Brunch

We went up Sunday to see the mountains and stopped in to have a bite to eat. It was Sunday so it was a buffet style brunch. The food was good and the server was very friendly. The noise level was about medium. They were very busy but I didn't feel rushed.

We were looking for a meal while visiting the Gondola and there really aren't a lot of options. We saw the menu for a restaurant (Snorting Elk?) that is called a deli and bar and it looked great for our family with young kids (pizza, sandwiches) but when we tried to go we were told that it really is just... Anyone staying at the properties on the mountain are limited to this rather overpriced and mediocre at best eatery. Appreciate it's the only place to eat in 15 miles. But $14 for a simple cheesebuger or chicken ceasar salad is over the top. Weekday morning "breakfast" was very limited to cereal, some baked goods, hard boiled eggs, and yogurt. Weekend... More

This is the only restaurant in the Crystal Mountain complex, but luckily it's good. The prices are a little on the high side, but the service was great. We ate there for dinner and then buffet breakfast bar on Saturday morning.

Dinner was outstanding, especially the Hungarian Goulash. The free continental breakfast offered in conjunction with staying at one of the Crystal Mountain Resort hotels was very limited - cold cereal, toast, enqlish muffin, bagels, OJ, coffee, tea, oranges, apples, bananas' not even any pastries or yogurt.

We were going to take the gondola up the mountain but arrived too late. Took a chance and went into Alpine and glad we did. Our wait staff was friendly, the food was the best we had on the trip. So much so that we were back the next day again. Different wait staff but still friendly. My family all... More

It is challenging to find restaurants that can accommodate my son's shellfish allergy. Alpine Inn was fabulous in taking precautions to insure his safety. The food was absolutely delicious, large portions, and our service was excellent. Will definitely go back the next time we go to Mt. Rainier.

We had a delightful lunch at the Alpine Inn, and based on some of the lackluster reviews we'd read here and elsewhere, we nearly skipped it. I'm so glad we made the trip to the peak of Crystal Mountain. In terms of setting, food, service and the gondola ticket price, it was certainly worth it. First of all, we'd heard... More

Went here with the family Christmas eve. Great ambiance, general manager came over to welcome us. Had the lamb which fell off the bone, great mash potatoes and veggies. Nice wine selection, not awesome, and the brownie dessert was great. Clearly a place that cares.

I never give a poor review but this time is an exception. The service here is meh... Now, the food was great and big portion . The coffee strong and bold but the waitresses act like they don't want to be there with fake smiles and just plain bored.
