We decided to drive from Denver all the way to Ely, Nevada in one day - I didn't expect anything to be at the border between Utah and Nevada on Route 50, but we were quite pleased to see it. Our group came here for lunch on our way to a performance in Nevada. Service was good, food was good. Not much in the way of vegetarian options, but if you're looking for classic American fare, this is a good place.

There's everything here at the Border Inn Restaurant: food, slots, gasoline, showers, motel rooms ... and a Great Basin Breakfast that is hearty!

Granted, your options are limited along US-50 in this area, or visiting Great Basin National Park. However, the food was good (deserts were better) and service was quality. As we were camping at Great Basin, and didn't like the options in Baker, this was a pleasant surprise. Decent convenience story as well.
