Great Place for Lunch

Yes definitely go here for a casual lunch. Yes it is like a diner but the food is better than what you would find in a diner and there's plenty to eat. It's relaxing and a good place to gear yourself up before you delving into the rest of your activities. Try the Trout dish. It is excellent and... read more

The food was very tasty. The menu has a great variety to choose from. This was walking distance from our hotel so that is the main reason for stopping.

Not much of a choice but when it arrives there is a lot of food. Got to try the mac&cheese!! Nice waiters and waitresses from far away land who will chat with you.

The Pioneer Grill has you hostage if you stay here because there aren't many other choices. The food is 1950s diner fair. Service is slow. Place is crowded. We suggest ordering ahead, get your food at the pick up window, and then go sit outside or in the lobby to enjoy the view of the Grand Tetons.

This place is right out of the 1960's.... Counter service and wonderful. Their menu is also served to go. We wanted ice cream and were not disappointed. Try the Dusty Glacier... a Sunday at its best.

The Pioneer Grill offers less expensive food than the adjacent and far more elegant Mural Room. The atmosphere is distinctly casual. You'll seat yourself at a long 50's style lunch counter (which during our visit was crowded with members of a bus tour), and pay at the cashier on the way out. Auditory privacy is nil. Instead of spectacular views... More

This was a moderately priced diner with a good meal selection. The portions were large and we split a Southern Fried Chicken dinner with plenty for both of us. Bottled beer was available and the wine pours were very generous (almost twice what we receive at a comparable diner here in wine country). This brought smiles to us after a... More

We recently (September) came back from a trip to Yellowstone and Grand Teton. We did a lot of hiking and were usually looking for an early dinner that was casual, but delicious. We found plenty of casual in Yellowstone and some great service, but the food was just filling. Our first try in Grand Teton was the Pioneer Grill. It... More

My husband and I ate breakfast here. It was like something out of a fifties movie in a drug store, you eat at this long counter and if you want to you talk to the person next to you, and if not, that's ok too. I had pancakes and my husband had fish for breakfast, I thought that was really... More
