Healthy dining at a park lodge?

Very healthy food selections available and unexpected. The Lodge should be encouraged to update this area from it's chipped formica and swing chairs. Keep the retro look if you like but give it a much-needed facelift. The wait staff is exceptional.

I always try to say nice things about where we eat. Sometimes this is impossible and its rather strange that this keeps happening in National Park Lodges. I will say that other people have said that they found it excellent but that didn’t happen for us. Before the meal we wanted a drink and went to sit on the beautiful... More

Stopped in for breakfast before our 11-mile hike. I had the croissant while my husband had the biscuit-n-gravy. My croissant was large and very tasty, but the biscuit under the gravy was dry. Potatoes were pretty good. Quick service even though the place was pretty crowded. Convenient if you're staying at the Lodge, and probably the most reasonably priced of... More

We were here on a unplanned stop due to rain. The food was very good. There service was efficient. We actually were surprised at the amount of food for the price that we ordered

The staff and management here were top notch, we were celebrating our wedding earlier in the day and were not able to eat in the restaurant as planned because we didn't have a reservation, we opted to eat n the Pioneer grill as our day had been casual anyway. There was another family there that had been on top of... More

We loved the Pioneer Grill. We ate at least one breakfast, lunch and dinner at the Grill. The staff was very friendly and the food was very good for the price.

Stopped here for breakfast. My wife had a breakfast burrito that she said was just average tasting and kind of small. I had the grizzly bear omelette. I would have to say it was the smallest omelette I've ever had, and only came with a very small side order of roasted potatoes. No toast or anything. For $13 it was... More

We have eaten at the Pioneer Grill 6 times in the last 4 days and have been happy each time. It's not fancy, wait staff very pleasant and friendly and it's fun to share space with other travelers sitting at the counter. Food is surprisingly tasty and interesting!
