A meal to die for

There is a fixed menu and it is not inexpensive. The food is superb. the ambience outstanding. This is an old Dude Ranch that has been converted into a full service facility, horse back riding, etc. In the evening the dinner presentation cannot be beat. Reservations are not only recommended but, most likely, mandatory...the further in advance, the better.

We had no idea that a national park lodge could serve food and atmosphere this good. The fish was spectacular, as well as the salads, choice of wine, and desserts. Not to mention the views, views, views.

Who would expect a top class gourmet restaurant in a national park. This would be a winner anywhere. We enjoyed every course of our dinner.

This was quite a treat. Even though we couldn't have a window seat (reserved for hotel guests) and enjoy the view, the dining experience was great. We were there for breakfast and it is a set price ($20 range) but you can order anything off the menu and as much as you want. Everything we sampled was delicious, and satisfied... More

The food is plentiful in a 5 course meal for the evening, the waitstaff are wonderful, and you can't beat the wonderful ambiance and experience. For me, the food was a bit too gourmet, I'm not into things that I've never heard of before, and like a little more meat and potatoes sort of an option, but there wasn't one.... More

My husband and I were able to secure reservations for this five star dining room on their last evening of dinner service before the close of the season. Service was excellent. Choices on the pre-fixed menu was varied and inventive. Food was not only a feast for the pallet but also for the eyes! Highly recommended!

My wife and I both ordered Angus burgers for lunch. I wanted mine cooked medium and she wanted hers medium-well. When the food runner brought out the burgers and put them on the table I asked "Which is which?" to which she first answered, pointing to my plate "That's one's yours and that one's hers" and then added that I... As a special treat, our family ate at the Lodge one evening as part of the 5 course dining experience. The setting of the Lodge is spectacular and as it is small and intimate, it felt very special. The decor is chic rustic - it felt like we had stepped into the pages of a Ralph Lauren catalogue. The staff... More

Only a sort-of review since I didn't actually eat here. We were trying for a late lunch, but found the dining room closed until dinner. The Lodge itself is beautiful, in a understated log cabin kind of way. The sitting room looked like a wonderful place to relax. HOURS ARE: Breakfast 7:30-1:00am, Lunch 11:30am-1:30pm, Dinner is a 5 course prix... More

The young friendly foreign waitstaff gave this restaurant a cruise ship feel. White tablecloths, flavorful food but we felt comfortable in our jeans/tourist clothes. Buses stop here but don't necessarily eat here so it was much less crowded than we anticipated. Then again, it was lunch time in September. Lunch for 2, no drinks or appetizers = $30.
