We had just completed a long drive, so wanted to have a relaxing dinner. We were promptly seated by a window - a plus and we didn't have to request it. Our server was personable and provided excellent service. I had a chopped salad. It was pleasingly arranged on the plate, but it was difficult to "mix" it so that... More

Got the $14 breakfast buffet. Tasted worse than the free breakfast you get at some hotels. Sausage tasted "funny" asked the "chef" what kind it was as I thought something like bison or elk given the taste. He replied, "pork, I think"

The complete opposite of the garbage I endured at the Lake restaurant in YSN. The food here was absolutely wonderful. All perfectly cooked and seasoned, and our waiter was attentive and friendly. Would definitely eat here again. Minus one dot due to standard over priced captive audience national park fee.

I LOVE food. I prefer to cook myself, but on vacation with limited time, I cannot go to the grocery store for breakfast, lunch and dinner. In my kitchen, I go as organic and unprocessed, as I can and we don't believe in microwaves. The hubby loves to cook and yet, on vacation time is still limited for him also... More

We ate here twice and enjoyed our food both times. This is more on the pricey side. If you're wanting to sit down and eat, but save some money go to Trapper Grill by Signal Lake. I had a salad both times and it was very good. The BBQ pork was yummy and the portions of everything were very large.

Being at the cabins at colter bay we did not have much choices for restaurant so we took the most expensive. Well it was terrible. Do not try it. I had the ribs w f fries and broccoli. Not good, the fries were from yesterday. We ordered wine in a bottle and it was brought to our table already opened... More

We have eaten at the Ranch House many times over the years. Quality has varied, but this year they had everything firing on all cylinders. A nice formal dinner menu that can be supplemented with the less formal bar menu make it easy for everyone in your party to find something they like. Salad bar at dinner or breakfast buffet... More

For those traveling between Yellowstone National Park and Jackson Wyoming, 49 miles north of Jackson is a neat family restaurant near the edge of Jackson Lake at Colter Lake Village. The restaurant called John Colters Ranch House has an inexpensive buffet, as well as a la carte food. Having stopped just for coffee, the manager who served us noticed some... More

Staff is very personable and efficient. The menu has a good variety of options, food was good and served hot. Breakfast buffet available every morning for those with a hearty appetite. Regular breakfast meals also offered. Nice selection for dinner. Avoid the baked beans - unusual taste and overcooked.

After reading the reviews we hesitated eating here, but there are very few choices for lunch in this area. To our surprise, we actually had a good experience. First, we thought the food prices were very reasonable (for a national park). Second, the service we received was actually very good - probably because it wasn't very crowded. Third, the food...
