Breakfast Buffet at the Ranch House

Breakfast buffet on Sunday morning was not very good. The breakfast buffet at Jackson Lake Lodge is much better, albeit a bit more expensive. But you get solid value for the additional money.

You have to realize that the lack of competition in this National Park setting will not yield the best of selections and preparations. The food was not bad, but given some choices, we would not return to this restaurant. It could have been a whole bunch better. Being senior citizens, we do not eat as much as we used to... More

We only ate here once and that was for breakfast. We took one look at the buffet and almost left. It looked like the powdered eggs and cold pastry offering from cheap hotels. But then I noticed some good-looking plates of food that clearly did not come from the buffet, so we decided to give it a shot. It was... More

You're trapped, and they know it. We had one dinner, and it was OK, but the prices were high for what you get and the selection was limited. We didn't go back, except for a take-out coffee, which cost $3 for a 12 oz. cup. The coffee at the grocery store was far better, and more reasonably priced.

It has to be said that around Colter bay Village the choice is not great. So we ended up having to go there twice for breakfast and twice for diner. Out of four meals we had to send back food three times. Breakfast- cold coffee and really funny eggs. My idea of a good vacation is not by getting salmonella!... More

I used to like this restaurant when it was the "Chuck Wagon", but since it has changed I haven't enjoyed the experience any more. Food is high priced and tries to be "high end", in a very plain dining area with no view. Breakfast buffet is expensive at $15, but for only a few bucks more you can eat at... More

Went for dinner expecting quality fare based on reviews. What we received was disappointing; however, the wait staff was attentive and efficient. I ordered the spare ribs with sides of cheese grits and cabbage with apples. The ribs were meaty but on the dry side, smothered in a vinegary barbecue sauce that was intensely salty. The grits were cheeseless, flavorless,... More

Pricey...had two dinners and one breakfast with mixed consistency from waitstaff and food. Prime rib night one fantastic. Night two average at best. Night one great pasta, night two not so much. Night one no biscuits with dinner, night two yes. Family of four, three meals, $300 with no frosty adult beverages.

Stayed two nights in a cabin and had dinner one night. My husband and I split the prime rib and it was cooked to perfection. We shared a potato and and each of us had our own salad. The price was very reasonable because we shared the entree and plenty of food. We didn't have room for desert. One morning... More

Had dinner in the bar twice and breakfast in the restaurant twice. Dinner was pretty good, they make a mean hamburger. Breakfast was okay, but avoid the trout, which was awful. The staff is great, mostly young folks here for the summer.
