Breakfast Buffet at the Ranch House

Breakfast buffet on Sunday morning was not very good. The breakfast buffet at Jackson Lake Lodge is much better, albeit a bit more expensive. But you get solid value for the additional money.

Each time we eat there, we found out this restaurant consistently serve very salty (unhealthy) and spicy soups. We had similar experience at other "all you can eat" restaurants in the country. Breakfast buffet is nothing special and you have to come early for breakfast buffet. After 8:30 am, they are out of yogurts, out of fruits, out of, etc....... More

After catching six nice lake trout on a guided lake fishing trip, we took them to the Ranch House restaurant for them to prepare them for us the next evening. What a treat! The chef did a wonderful job preparing them in two styles: dusted in cornmeal and pan seared and baked/steamed with lemon and garlic. Delicious! The restaurant charges... More

The food and service were great. The best steak we had all trip - perhaps for a decade. Amazing this is at a national park!

We were not impressed with the quality of our dinner and it wasn't inexpensive. My husband's ribs were overlooked, tough, and not fresh. My grilled broccoli wasn't grilled and was overcooked and mushy.

You have to realize that the lack of competition in this National Park setting will not yield the best of selections and preparations. The food was not bad, but given some choices, we would not return to this restaurant. It could have been a whole bunch better. Being senior citizens, we do not eat as much as we used to... More

We only ate here once and that was for breakfast. We took one look at the buffet and almost left. It looked like the powdered eggs and cold pastry offering from cheap hotels. But then I noticed some good-looking plates of food that clearly did not come from the buffet, so we decided to give it a shot. It was... More

You're trapped, and they know it. We had one dinner, and it was OK, but the prices were high for what you get and the selection was limited. We didn't go back, except for a take-out coffee, which cost $3 for a 12 oz. cup. The coffee at the grocery store was far better, and more reasonably priced.

It has to be said that around Colter bay Village the choice is not great. So we ended up having to go there twice for breakfast and twice for diner. Out of four meals we had to send back food three times. Breakfast- cold coffee and really funny eggs. My idea of a good vacation is not by getting salmonella!... More

I used to like this restaurant when it was the "Chuck Wagon", but since it has changed I haven't enjoyed the experience any more. Food is high priced and tries to be "high end", in a very plain dining area with no view. Breakfast buffet is expensive at $15, but for only a few bucks more you can eat at... More
