Yes, as others have noted, it is a cafeteria.

And, it's kind of out in the middle of nowhere, and it's got a decent selection, and the food is good, and it's way better than trying to grub up some pine nuts near the canyon rim before the squirrels get them. For what it is, this Cafeteria offered a good selection of food and some of the best soup I think I have had anywhere! Great for a cold winters day in the Grand Canyon. The staff could be a little friendlier, but that was about the only issue we had with the place.

We stayed at Yavapai lodge so this was the obvious place to grab breakfast before starting our day. Had the breakfast wrap with onions, peppers, scrambled eggs, fresh cilantro, sour cream and pico de gallo and it was pretty frigging good. My expectations weren't high for cafeteria style eating but my boyfriend and I both thought it was good! We... More

After a long day we decided to eat close to our room. We wanted to go to one of the restaurants but we were tired. It is too bad that we didn't make an effort to go somewhere else. The staff were not friendly which for me is forgivable. But when staff are just plain unprofessional and don't know where... More

The Yavapai Cafeteria is very convenient. For every taste you will find something. The food is ok. It closes a bit too early. If you are out for taking sunset pictures you have to hurry back to get some food.

Overpriced even by National Park standards. Even if you are starving, you are unlikely to find anything here that outranks the high-school cafeteria. I was somewhat appalled, and quite turned off by the messiness of the hot-dinner-plate serving area. The caretaker of this section, though she had no customers, seemed quite unconcerned with the huge swatches of brown gravy and... More

I was not overly impressed by the Yavapai Cafeteria. It is basically like your standard college dining hall. They had a selection of hot and cold meals available, with pricing that is much more expensive than you would expect. It is a come-as-you-are place to eat and it would work well for families. However, expect to spent around $10 or... More

The food is fine. They have some cook to order items and some ready to serve. There is a fair amount of variety. One of us is vegan and we were able to find something for them.

We weren't expecting much, and maybe that helped. We just wanted a quick and substantial breakfast before going down into the canyon. You definitely will not ooh and ahh over how delicious the food is, but it serves its purpose. You can easily be in and out of there in 20 minutes.

When in the park, there really isn't too many choices to eat. The Yavapai Cafeteria is convenient and quick. The food is like the food you would eat at any school or hospitol Cafeteria. Fair amount of choices for Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.
