The Vavapai Cafeteria provided the worst experience at the South Rim. The quality of the food is ordinary at best. The presentation is sloppy, no pun intended. My final breakfast, a simple on that I thought would be clean and tasty failed miserably. The scrambled eggs were textureless hard yellow blobs. Not in the least inviting. The toast had the... More

After a long drive in from Las Vegas, we were just not in the mood to spend time looking for a place to eat dinner (especially since some places like the Dining room at the El Tovar Lodge, people recommend reservations and others might have a wait). So it was convenient since we were staying at the Yavapai Lodge. The... More

No dislikes. Enjoyed the way food was laid out. I liked the cafeteria style of service. Didn't have to worry about anyone else hovering over the food choices.Very pleasant staff and prices were reasonable.

Literally the worst restaurant in the world. We had dinner and breakfast there and they charged us a total of $180 for nothing short of vomit. People come from all over the world, what a shame and embarrassment !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! EVERY MacDonald's gives better food and they are also terrible. Even the scrambled egg was fake powder and the bacon burnt... More

The café had plenty of seating and great choices for meals all day long. Attached to it is a great gift shop. The workers are all courteous and pleasant.

The cafeteria is just that: a large room with tables. Pick up a tray, shop around the cafeteria, then get into row at the cashier. There's a fair assortment of plates and pizzas if that's your thing. They taste OK but don't expect anything memorable from either the taste or the atmosphere. If you want a breakfast heavy and calories... More

Breakfast was great. Dinner was good enough. the cafe was very big. enough to sit a lot of people. Don't be mistaken, this is not a restaurant. this is a cafeteria. you have to order the food and pick them yourself and then pay. I am a vegetarian and I had decent options. the food was pretty tasty. After having... More

Definitelly not a fancy place , nor a romantic venue . But you can get decent food , at a decent price . There are several options to choose from , and I can´t complain of any of the 3 meals I had over there ... good portions and tastefull . But remember : this is a CAFETERIA , not... More

Staying in the Yavapai Lodge, there are not so many alternatives for dinner in walking distance. So we visited this self-service restaurant twice during our stay at the lodge. First evening we waited ten minutes for a McDonald's style Hamburger. Second evening, same service girl - very unpolite and unmotivated - gave me the chillie in a pot instead -... More
