Ok - needs inspiration

We ate here twice for dinner. Beautiful dining hall in a historic national park lodge on the north rim. good food and drink in a great location and atmosphere, but the food lacks flair. One chicken dish was too salty. Overall above average but mainly for location and history.

I visited here with family and friends and I have to say the steak is up there with the best I've ever had. The view is breath taking, whilst eating dinner you can look out into the Grand Canyon. The atmosphere was great and price was reasonable considering the remote location. Overall amazing experience.

Prices were reasonable, food very good, service very good and friendly. We got a table right by the window with an amazing view of the canyon.

We arrived at the North Rim for a Rim-to-Rim hike planned for the following day. Carb-loading at the Lodge Dining Room seemed like the best plan for lunch. And the views from those windows? WOW. Unbeatable. However, the food was beyond bad. Despite the lure of the sky, canyon and sites in the background, the quality of food (please, it... More

Let me start by saying the service was excellent. Guy, our waiter, was knowledgeable and professional. The dining room is essentially one large open area, and is noisy when crowded as it was when we were there. It offers some views of the canyon, but is very limited in that respect due to such a large seating area, Reservations are... More

It's a nice place, with a great view to the grand canyon. When you see the place, you think it's really cozy. But when you have receive the dishes, your opinion change complete. It's really poor, they need to hire a much better chef and price is high considering the quality of the menu. The options for dinner in North... More

Ate here for lunch and had good Elk chili and salads with good service. Than ate here for dinner and had their Venison meatloaf which was worst meal on 2 week trip. Luckily only ordered $12 half order. It was 3-4 ounces of tasteless cold meat with 4 small potatoes and broccoli. Service was extremely slow as waiter spent most... More

My wife and I enjoyed dinner twice during our stay at the North Rim. The food and service was excellent the first night as I order the scallops as a main course with a spinach salad as a starter while my wife ordered the salmon entree with a caesar salad started. Both the scallops and the salmon were served with... More

We enjoyed the food. The restaurant tries hard to be fine dining and might pull it off better in the summer. But mid-May with fresh snow on the ground, the unheated dining room with high ceilings - it really does resemble a well appointed barn. Not many took off their overcoats and hats during this meal. Still the food was... More

Try to get seated at a window so you can enjoy the view! That maybe the only thing you can enjoy. Our lunch wasn't that great and the staff was very nice but seemed confused. The place is very large but not many people seemed to be in here..
