We ate breakfast there three mornings and dinner there one night. The breakfast has a large selection and the dinners were done just the way you ask. You do need a reservation for dinner and they recommend doing it one month in advance.

Very good food and service. Make your reservations before you leave. There are limited places to eat at the South Rim. If you stay at the El Tovar, you can make your reservation 6 months ahead. If you are not staying there, 1 month ahead.

Indoor or outdoor seating, with a view of the Canyon. Cocktails or coffee/cocoa drinks, with a selection of nibbles to go with them. The food is a bit hit or miss, but the drinks are very nice, and the service is usually good. It's nice to sit on the patio in good weather.

We ate here twice, breakfast and lunch and have to say that the food was really good. The staff is very friendly but were a little overwhelmed at times. The ambiance is very rustic and appropriate for the location. We highly recommend this restaurant.

During our recent trip we stayed in the El Tovar hotel and ate at both the dining room and the lounge. I enjoyed the lounge food more than the dining room. Besides the price, we were able to enjoy the appetizers at more convenient times after being out all day site seeing. The crab cakes were our favorite and we... More

Although we left it a little late to book we managed to get a table at 8.30 in order to celebrate our wedding anniversary! The service was prompt and friendly, food of a very good standard and overall a experience we are glad to have had. We would like to return at some stage and stay in the hotel to... More

Came in for a few drinks and appetizers after hiking 13 miles that day. Nice cozy atmosphere with a good drink selection, fast service, and fast food service. Can see the canyon from some of the seats. Would come back!!

Our party of four stopped into the El Tovar hotel for a rest and a cocktail after a long day of touring the east and partial south rim. Great view from the bar. Bar menu had a good list of cocktails to warm us up. Coffees and hot chocolate with liguers as well as a full bar selection.

Neat place. Quiet bar, dark, with lots of folks from all over the world. Bartenders (when I was there) were goo conversationalists with interesting stories as to how they got to the edge of the Grand Canyon for a bartending gig.

You do not often see a really unique menu where every dish is unusual. We've eaten at many National Parks restaurants run by Zantera with mixed results (Many Glaciers for example was not a great experience...) This restaurant achieved that. The service was also outstanding so all in all a very special evening. Thank you.
