we tried going here one night to get some snacks / drinks. This place was way too small and there were SO many people in there, that it was literally standing room only.

There was no wait. It was quiet and not crowded at around 2 p.m. We enjoyed a pilsner and the bratwurst with sauerkraut. The chips and salsa were average.

On a very rainy, cold day, the lounge was packed. We stopped in for a cup of coffee and to sit by the fireplace. The staff was very busy, but they were very polite and in a great mood -- hard to do when you're running around trying to keep guests happy. Everyone seemed to be having a great time.

We stopped in because we were early for our reservation. It's a nice place to have drinks and talk with other travelers at the Grand Canyon. A little pricey for the size of the drinks, but what do you expect? Location, location, location.

I had lunch at this restaurant located in this historic building. The service was excellent and the wait staff are college students from many international countries and from various states in America. I ordered the Navajo Tacos which were delicious and I recommend. This restaurant also has some gift shops as well. If you're hungry while at the Grand Canyon,... More

Great place to get in out of the snowy weather and enjoy a Grand Canyon mule and appetizers. Then we skipped dinner and had cup of soup made in historic cabin.

Historic El Tovar is very grand and elegant. Very comfortable dining room and excellent service. Food was excellent and came prepared to our taste. Relatively inexpensive for the ambience, service, food quality, and great taste. Excellent value.

The El Tovar Lounge is in the lobby of this historic hotel. Very nice scenery. We enjoyed a cold beer and glass of chilled wine as we looked out at the canyon. The wait staff were efficient and very polite with a comfortable atmosphere.

Okay for a drink and snack, few seats overlooking the canyon, slow service and loud music, not compatible with the Grand Canyon at all....
