We couldn't get a early reservation so we missed out on a view. The room we sat in was very nice and quiet. The service was a bit stiff but attentive. We enjoy a little more interaction with our server. The food was very good and it was nice to sit and enjoy wine and dinner after a day of... More

We were looking for food around 4pm and chanced upon the lounge-bar in El Tovar. They only served appetizers at that time, food was average, but the Mexican chicken wings were tough so we returned it. The staff serving us was really nice about it, so we tipped him extra. The hotel lobby has a very quaint feel, with many... More

The El Tovar restaurant is usually booked at dinnertime. Nine of us twice walked in and ate together on our schedule. Food basic but adequate and didn't require advance planning.

We did not eat the desserts but they looked great. We had savory treats instead. Go for sunset and a drink made with the prickly pear mix.

Had two nice evenings in the Lounge. Drinks are great, bartenders and wait staff accommodating, appetizers a little pricey.

Early reservations then the canyon for a beautiful sunset. Food was top shelf and service was spectacular. This historic location should be a must for anyone visiting the south rim.

Would definitely eat here again. My husband and I had the Bison Filet and I admit I was a little nervous but it was one of the best steaks I ever had! So glad I tried it. Should check this place out if you have the opportunity.

If your lucky enough to get s canyon view it's wonderful. I made a mistake and got a forest view, actually a view of the parking lot then it's way over priced. Book a year in advance, no kidding!!. Pay extra get a canyon view, it's worth it.

The food at El Tovar was delicious, especially after our hike out of Grand Canyon on the Bright Angel Trail. What we really appreciated was the views. We started with some drinks in the Bar, had great service from the bar tender and enjoyed a cold beer overlooking the Canyon. After that we moved into the restaurant, had great service... More

This was a very special place for dinner. It is not only beautiful, but the views are amazing. It is located right In the canyon. What a thrill to see the sunset just before dinner and it was just a walk away. Our dinner was also very good. My steak was very tender and juicy. We were both extremely happy... More
