This is my favorite place to come for a drink and watch the sunset. Its a small, warm, and welcoming place, with a sunset view of the canyon. In the summer there is outdoor seating. The only problem, they play the radio outside - and really - why? Wouldn't you rather just hear the ravens calling out over the canyon?

We were very hungry and thirsty, order 4 drinks the waiter brought 3 of them the last took several minutes, they ask for a credit card in advance?, never happened to us before, but the real bad thing came with the food, worst appetizers ever, the pate with crostini? Ouch, navajo nachos ugh, Parmesan fries simply bad.

Expensive but great. Good choice of options. Deliciously prepared. Very uncomfortable chairs though and the service was not quite up to the expected standard.

The food is well prepared and the service is good. But that's beside the point here. The restaurant is historic, the views are great, the location is unparalleled. And the desserts are good. Take a break from hiking, dress up and dine at the El Tovar, it is a great experience and the prices are not as high as you... More

My husband and I have enjoyed the view from the outside bar at the El Tovar Hotel for over thirty years. It is very relaxing to watch all the people walk along the rim trail, gazing down at the canyon. The open area between the hotel and the rim will soon be relandscaped with native plants. We enjoy the appetizers,... More

During my research I was really worried about finding somewhere to eat lunch at the Grand Canyon. I felt like all of our options were going to involve high prices, low quality and crowded queues and dining rooms. So, certainly on the first and last of those points, we were very pleased to stumble across the El Tovar Lounge. The... More

The drinks were fine, the food snacks below average in taste/originality, BUT the view spectacular! Drink a beer and enjoy.

Located in THE hotel of the Grand Canyon, this is a great stop for a drink and conversation before dinner. Appetizers were excellent. The waitress (excuse me, server) was very friendly and a delight to chat with.

We made the Lounge a regular part of days while staying at the El Tovar. So nice to relax after a day of sightseeing! Enjoyed the verandah as well as the lounge itself. View is gorgeous. Serving staff very attentive. The first evening service was a little slower, but a tour bus group kept the serving staff busy. We enjoyed... More

I stayed here in early April for two nights. If the Grand Canyon is what you're liking for there is no place better than El Tovar. A few paces from the front door and you are at the rim of the Grand Canyon. I was also able to see a bit of the Grand Canyon from my window in the... More
