Another example of being held captive at the Grand Canyon. Food was ok, very overpriced. Our waiter was good, but the disaster at the host stand really put us off our meal. The host and hostess were in a shouting match with other guests, which was odd. I had asked for a table with a view of the canyon as we... More

I did not have high hopes for El Tovar - it has a piece of prime real estate overlooking the South Rim so I didn't expect it to focus on good food. But suprisingly, the food was very good and it was not that expensive for what it is - fine dining in the Park The portions were very large... More

We had wine and snacks at the El Tovar Lounge during our visit to the Grand Canyon. The wine list was good, we had the crab cakes and the mozzarela snacks. Both were good. Tracy was our server and she was outstanding. It was great way to unwind and people watch during the evening.

Ate here for dinner and the food was pretty good. My salmon was a little under seasoned, but my husbands duck was delicious. Service was good and attentive. Dessert was very delicious as well, and I had the chocolate taco. Good view as well.. Definitely recommend, unlike the bright angel restaurant next door. Went there for lunch and had a... More

Thoroughly enjoyed the food, service and absolute fantastic scenery....overlooking Grand Canyon....doesn't get much better than this. Prices were reasonable with decent portions. A must for anyone wanting to have a memorable meal. Stay away from Tusayan a few minutes down the road....bad food and high prices!

The Lounge was a lovely place to wind down after a hard day's canyon watching. We shared the crab sliders between 2, to leave room for the evening meal! Very good. The atmosphere was chilled and the service welcoming. Cocktails, whilst watching golf on the TV - this was very relaxed and unpretentious.

This is just a nice little place to grab a drink. Decent mixologists and a nice, mature atmosphere. I did not eat here, but rather gathered for pre-drink meals. Others seemed to be enjoying the atmosphere. You can enjoy the sunset from the lounge or wander around the beautiful historic lodge. I recommend a little of both.

This is a great place to have a late afternoon drink and appetizer. The bar has a very nice patio overlooking the South Rim. Prices were fair considering the location.

Our family stopped to enjoy a sunset drink on the outside terrace of El Tovar. We were fortunate enough to have a charming waiter who was very helpful and considerate. However 3 young men (early thirties) were seated across from us and we were shocked at the way they were treated by their waiter. From the moment they sat down... More
