Summary: Four adults had a late lunch at El Tovar Dining Room. While the food was delicious, the wait staff left much to be desired. None of our drinks were EVER refilled, leaving us playing a game of "pass the water" as we nursed what was left of one glass of water. Reservations: Reservations are necessary for dinner, but NOT... This was the last, celebratory dinner we had after our week-long rafting trip in the Grand Canyon. A wonderful ending to a good trip.

We had our anniversary dinner at the El Tovar lodge. The service was excellent however the food was average. I had a pasta and vegetable dish that didn't quite have the right flavor pallet. My husband had the pork chops that were a little dry but not bad. Overall dinner was pricey and a bit disappointing. When we were being... More

We had dinner the first day we arrived at the grand canyon, what a wonderful way to end our first day! Although we didn't had a reservation, we could make a last minute one for 9:30 p.m. The dining room was beautiful, the service very nice and the food excellent! I had the duck, witch was cooked to perfection, and my... More

We ate here for breakfast and dinner, Both were top notch. Prices were reasonable, and with a view overlooking the Grand Canyon, and with a small herd of elk roaming the rim of the canyon in front of you, can you really beat the location? All of the waiters and waitresses were friendly, and you could tell that they really... More

We had dinner at El Tovar during our stay at the Grand Canyon. The dining room is very nice and the service was very attentive and excellent. Unfortunately, my main course was awful. My husband liked his duck but I had the quail because it too was recommended by the waiter. It was mostly mushy stuffing and very little else.... More

We had dinner at El Tovar the evening before Mother's Day. The food was amazing. I had the lamb and both my brother and sister had the Salmon. We all loved our meal. I had a glass of the El Tovar Pinot Noir, and it was great. The service was excellent, and we did not feel rushed. It is an... More

Breakfast at the El Tovar dining room was good although, the waitresses were not very friendly. The wait staff at other restaurants in the park were not friendly either. Perhaps they are trained this way.

We ate breakfast and dinner here, and both were excellent. The food was delicious, and the ambiance is good. Great service, too. When you stay at the Grand Canyon you should treat yourself to at least one meal here.
