The dining room had great historical atmosphere; the food was good, not diner food like most other places. Service was good. Once we discovered it we stopped going other places for the five day we were there.

the hotel & restaurant are decorated tastefully for the holidays! The filet mignon special was great. The French onion soup is one of the best I've had. The service was top notch. Definitely would go again.

We have eaten dinner at El Tovar several times and were eager to take our guests there earlier this week. The menu seems to have changed and the prices have risen a lot since our last visit two years ago. The food was good but not excellent. The wait person was competent but not welcoming. The busboys were too anxious... More

We really enjoyed our lunch at the restaurant. The food and service were excellent, and the dining room was beautiful. I recommend it.

We visited the Grand Canyon in December with another couple and enjoyed eating at the El Tovar Lodge dining room for launch, breakfast and dinner. All three meals were wonderful. The menu was varied and interesting and for the location, ambience and quality, well worth the price. The service was fantastic, attentive but not over-bearing. The recommendations from the wait... We had breakfast here and had been told to try the Eggs Benedict. Really, seriously good Eggs Benedict with a twist. The staff are attentive and the coffee and fruit juice is really good. We also went for dinner as our breakfast experience had been so good. Great waitress and very good food again. The atmosphere is like a German... More

Great food, great hospitality. Had few dishes for vegetarians as all which was nice. Thanks to our guide Molly for suggesting this place.

I have eaten at El Tovar off and on since 2003 and the last time november 2014,all have been evening meals, except one breakfast. The evening meals require reservations. The service is impeccable and the food delicious. I try to get the reservation time to be able to view the sunset. I am one of those who love the canyon... More

The ambiance for dinner was great. Fireplaces (gas) and wood created a rustic feel in keeping with the setting. The food was OK, not great, but far, far better than anything else in the Village. Breakfast was spectacular. We got there in time to get a table in a window overlooking the canyon and right next to a fireplace. It... More

Really good service. Decent range of wines to select from. All food we ordered well prepared and cooked - very tasty. Vegetarian options based on interesting recipes. Make sure you make a reservation.
