Once you are the Grand Canyon National Park you only have a certain number of places to eat and Maswik Lodge cafeteria provides a large food court style area where you can pick from areas such as the grill (burgers etc), Italian (spaghetti, lasagne), Mexican and so on. As such it's quick and relatively cheap versus some other restaurants. We... More

We ate breakfast here one morning during our stay. I was impressed wit the wide variety of items available; even during breakfast some lunch and dinner dishes seemed to be available. Items ranged from a quick snack (like a cereal bowl or yogurt) to full-plate meals, and everything in between! It seemed to be of very good quality. The prices... More

Busy in late June for both breakfasts and evening meals but service flows. Basic cafeteria style eating options and tables. Clean overall. Had a good and very large pizza quickly served on the first night. Quite a few choices overall and good value. Simple basic food. Staff pleasant and helpful. After a long day this style of food can easily... More

I liked the variety of food choices. The prices were also reasonable. I did not like the long lines to order the food and then the long lines at the checkout. Also for the checkout process it's easy for people to jump the line. There are lots of seats available in the cafeteria's dining hall.

Took the Grand Canyon Railroad to the Grand Canyon. Needed food for the hike along the rim. Everyone and their brother got off at the train depot. We decided to walk immediately away from the crowd and headed to the Maswik Lodge Cafeteria for variety! Quickly walked there (and in the correct direction) and were pleasantly surprised to find a... Although I have experienced exceptional cafeterias, this was not one of them. This is what you would expect if you went though cafeterias in college and/or all-you-can-eat buffets at most restaurants. While the personnel were generally friendly, the food was on the bland side, seasoned for the mass market. The menu is divided by different cafeteria stations. The dining room... More

The pizzeria pizza was GREAT. The breakfast was made to order and very good. Staff were friendly but tired, but that is typical in the parks at busy season. If you aren't doing the El Tovar for upscale, this is a great option.

Great option just of the rim. Especially if with kids. Pizza to salad to sandwiches to meals and pasta. Lots of drink and fruit and desert options. Well priced. Gift shop in lobby helps make it a one stop location.

there are different areas: sandwich, grill stuff, home cooked, soups. Prices are very reasonable. We had for dinner the italian dish and turkey and dressing. portions very generous. For breakfast chicken fried steak, potatoes with a croissant. Location is key! after walking all day, you will not feel like cooking or going out of the park to eat. staff is... More
