Overpriced Cafeteria

We wanted to stop somewhere in the village for a quick lunch. The Maswik Lodge Cafeteria sounded like a good choice. Overall it was okay, but portions were small, food quality wasn't great, and it was quite overpriced. If you're already at the Maswik Lodge, it's good enough for a quick bite to... read more

All 4 of us took something different. We did agree: it was by far the worst meal during our vacation. The hamburger was not too bad. Would not go again.

Fresh and delicious pizza in the Canyon? You bet! You can drive there or go with the free shuttle bus service, but either way, it is worth the short trip. We ordered 1 large 16 inch pizza for 4 people and it was a perfect amount of food. They had a good variety of toppings and pizzas to choose from... More

Maswik Food Court offers a variety of lunch options from sub sandwiches, hot entrees, grilled selections, and Mexican food, as well as a Pizza Pub. There are also grab and go options, and salads. All of the pricing is reviewed and approved by the National Park Service based on comparable products served at restaurants outside the park. I am sorry... More

Food quality poor in general and over priced. Would highly recommend buying in Tusayan beforehand. Staff disinterested. Its beyond me how it can be so bad, but seems to be a common theme in Xanterra owned hotels, more interested in the bottom line than guest experiences.

We went twice, it was good and provided many options for all tastes! We tried hot dogs, tacos, chili dog, spagetti, cold and hot Tuna sandwiches, pizza, and probably more things... all were good and for a really reasonable price!

Since we were staying at the Maswik Lodge, it was convenient to have breakfast at the lodge. The self-serve/grill to order/buffet setup is my least favorite way to order food. The whole grain pancakes I ate were delicious but my friend reported that his regular pancakes from the warmer were almost cold and were rubbery. Another friend had Buenos rancheros... More

Its self service and most of the food and salads are freshly made. It was good value as well but I just felt that one or two of the staff could smile a bit more and look like they were enjoying working there. Maybe they didn't!

We had dinner here after having hiked out of the canyon earlier in the day. We wanted something quick so that we could go enjoy the sunset and pizza sounded good. I had read the reviews that the food here wasn't that good and it basically met my expectations. The pizza was very meh, crust was not good and the... More
