My wife and I recently dined at the Ptarmigan and found the food and service to be very good, and the prices quite reasonable. Views from the dining room windows are superb.

Servers are there for one season, and appear to not have been trained in food service at all. Long, long waits, no refills, wrong wines delivered. Food was often delivered to the table cold, menu items were "out" at every meal over three nights, and worst of all, it was not mentioned until everyone else's dinner arrived ("we are out... More

My wife and I stayed at Many Glacier Hotel for 3 nights. We had breakfast each morning in the Ptarmigan Dining Room. An excellent breakfast buffet was available each morning. For $8.50, the continental buffet included juice, coffee, tea, milk, oatmeal, cereals, fresh fruit (melon, pineapple, berries) as well as gluten and non gluten pastries. Eggs and breakfast meats were... More

The views are simply outstanding from this dining room. We ate 3 breakfasts there (buffet, typical hot/cold choices) and 2 dinners. The dinner food is tasty and fair-priced. The buffalo burgers and trout are excellent.

I only had breakfast one morning at the Ptarmigan Dining Room The other mornings, while I stayed at the Many Glacier Hotel, I made my own oatmeal in the room and the evenings always had long lines at the restaurant so I ate at the Swiss Lounge (formerly the Interlaken Lounge) instead where it is a similar menu and always... Dinner at the Ptarmigan Dining Room, Many Glaciers Hotel. July 4, 2014 dining alone. Hungry from the hike. Had a craft beer, Kokanee – a bit flat but fairly clean. Service was excellent. The salad was a nice variety of fresh leafy lettuces. The trout dinner was very good, served on quinoa and topped with jalapenos - add asparagus, all... More

Beautiful setting and very good breakfast bar. 2 options for the bar, limited or full. Great value for such a pretty view.

Nice setting with picturesque views. Food is expensive but only average quality. Despite wait staff assurances to the contrary, my salmon arrived over-cooked and my husband's pork schnitzel with spaetzle lacked seasoning and was very unexciting. The bread rolls were very good, though.

We waited in line to be sat for breakfast, which was a disorganized process. Host was confused about where to sit everyone, causing a delay. The food was the worst food I've had in a while.. I had powdered scrambled eggs & greasy hash browns. My husband opted for the buffet which was even a bigger mistake... He was able... More

The only positive thing about this restaurant is the view. It's inside of the Many Glacier Hotel. It's overpriced. The food is OK, but the service is very slow. Eat somewhere else if you can.
