Quick, easy and great people watching!

Stopped here on way back to Naples from Key West. Pleasant enough, large portion, one order probably enough for two. It is what it is, a stop for travellers on US41 who are going somewhere or on way back. A real eclectic mix so makes great people watching.

Below average food in what looks like a re-purposed Howard Johnson's. Almost everything is from the can or the freezer.

We stopped for lunch after visiting the Shark Valley entrance to the Everglades. The Fry Bread Nachos were quite tasty -- just understand that corn chips are not a part of the recipe. The Frog Legs were very nicely done, with a light dusting of flour and fried to a tender, just-done level. At the price, a great way to... More

After visiting Miccosukee Indian Village ( two couples) we decided to go for lunch to "authentic Indian restaurant" . Good location, road side. From outside, this place looked more promising. Inside look kind of Indian. Place clean but not spotless. The gator bits were a new experience that my husband wanted. ( I was more traditional with my order.) If... More

I have to admit that I wasn't expecting too much from this restaurant and I don't eat fried food, but we were able to split two sandwiches between three of us and still had left overs. The cubano was very good. after a day of hiking and biking it was perfect- and there really is nothing else around.

Go for a window view to see some gators, don't get the gator bites however. Those are chewy, wat more crust than gator. Expect average bar food quality snacks here. It's not really expensive, so it's a fine stop tot lunch before you go tot shark valley or do one of the airboat rides. Go for the traditional Miccosukee burger.... More

This restaurant offers amazing and unique selections on the menu. Alligator, frog legs, fry bread and more. The BLT sandwiches are outstanding (what I usually order). A whole meal for less than $9 and service is great. They have fry bread, gator, and frog legs sampler platters that are very inexpensive. Worth the drive out from Miami as you enjoy... More

We ate at this restaurant after enjoying the incomparable tram ride deep into the Everglades at the North Entrance into the National Park, also known as Shark Valley. While no picnic facilities are available in the park itself, this restaurant is literally right outside the entrance on US 41. We have eaten there several times in past years with ho-hum... More

There are not a lot of options for food on the Tamiami Trail in the Everglades. We were driving to Miami and were hungry and had stops we planned to make before we got to our hotel. We "passed on" a few places along the way and came to the Miccosukee restaurant. It is like a coffee shop, it was... More

The food was either average or below the average. We didn't like soup and fish. We also had to wait too long to be serviced and had to worry about being late for out tour. The only good thing about this restaurant is the location - just in front of the park entrance.
