Awesome!

The Rustic Roasted Fruit Tart was amazing! Halibut and Alaskan King Crab were delicious too. The service was awesome and it was only their second night open!

This seasonal restaurant, as most in the Denali area, is a unique find in the area. It features local ingredients as well as seasonal offerings. It is located at Mile Marker 229, about 8 miles south of the Denali Park entrance, so a car is a must. The opening for the season varies--had inquired a month earlier and was told... More

We loved the food here with its emphasis on fresh and local. If I remember correctly, there was a chef's garden in the back. No small feat in Alaska! We had cold rain while we were visiting Denali, but we toughed out another night in the tent so that we could go back for one more meal at 229 Parks.... More

After a day of hiking in Denali, and too exhausted to cook in our own motorhome, we decided to venture out to nearby towns to discover some food options. I was yelping in the car for recommendations and boy were we glad to have found this gem! BEST FOOD IN USA. It was my first time to Alaska and I... More

Seems the only other options in Denali are pizza, burgers, subway or similar so this was a much better option for dinner. The decor is all wood paneling and none of the plates match, the waiter has a hole in the back of his jeans but he's really friendly. The food however is very tasty. I had a cold berry... More

Far away from most of civilization you'll find this gem near Denali National Park. Let's face it; most eateries in or near National Parks are not usually top of the line restaurants. 229 Parks is definitely the exception. The food we were served rivaled (or "rivalled" if you're British) that of a 5 star Michelin restaurant: delicious and creative. The... More

We had dinner in 229 Parks while staying at the Denali NP. We fiund this restaurant excellent. The food was very good: we had beef tenderloin, halibut in a broth and a chocolate dessert. It was very busy and rightfully. The service is good as well.

Very extensive menu. Very outstanding and unique food. Love the farm/ ocean to table concept. Every bite was delicious. It was a lovely, sunny and warm and all the windows were shut so it was stuffy- which we quickly remedied by opening the windows near us. The service was outstanding ! The prices were in line with the similar quality... More

Came here with my family on our last night together in Alaska. Great food, and honestly it felt like the sort of cozy restaurant you find in small towns in New England- certainly the same ambiance. Definitely worth an evening though reserving in advance definitely is advised!

... Then this is the place to eat. Party of six, we each had a different entree. Mrs. frsbdg had the king crab rolled in fresh pasta; I had the halibut. Both were excellent. Others in our party had the lamb and filet and a couple other items and everything was great. The ice cream sandwich for dessert was also... More
