Amazing Meal

We love food, dining out and cooking at home and had high expectations for this restaurant based on reviews and the quality of the food exceeded those expectations! The soups were some of the best we'd ever had. Our 14 year old said the scallops were the best meal he's had and my Alaskan king crab... read more

Perfection at it's best! It was an honor to dine here. The best tart ever! We hired a taxi from Denali Princess lodge. The taxi was expensive but worth every dollar.

This is a rustic and casual setting with high end food and service. It's a little hard to find (with an understated sign), until you realize that the name refers to the mile marker on the roadway. The wine list offers a variety of choices. Highly recommended!

Maybe our expectations were too high after a few people said this was a must. Restaurant itself was lovely - high ceilings, light and airy, spacious. Appetizers were highlight of the meal - interesting flavor a, generous portions, decent prices. Mains were uneven -one odd (gnocchi), two bland (scallops), and one great (king crab ravioli) - and overpriced (though most... More

The food here was excellent, and the server was fantastic! The portion sizes were a bit small in my opinion but I would definitely recommend going here for a great experience!

The food was fantastic and the service was very good. Some of the best food I have had anywhere. I would highly recommend eating here but you should probably make reservations because this is a scratch made kitchen and they can run out of food. Very fairly priced for food in Denali.

Dinner for family of 4 was very nice. Beautiful place IMO and the food was fine. With no drinks and dessert I think we were over $100. Decent value for Alaska where everything seems to run 30% more than NY area prices. Note that the portions tend to run on the small side. Quality not quantity you might say. Very... More

Very yummy! Lots of unique, refreshing options. The halibut was my favorite. I particularly appreciated their conscientious effort to promote sustainable agriculture and food systems 😊

I agree with other reviewers that this restaurant is such a treat after the lodges and pizza places around town. 229 Parks has an awesome menu - I wanted to order everything! I'm told the menu changes quite often. Everything about the place is first class - the food, the service, the atmosphere. It's very warm and inviting and friendly.... More

Many have raved about this restaurant. My husband loved his meal of lamb meatballs which were very good. Mine was prawns. The flavor was good but they were NOT prawns they were small shrimp in a marinade. I had a salad which I took home because the flavors were good but overwhelming. The dessert was very good. Hence my 4... More
