Wonderful dinner with friends.

What a wonderful treat while visiting Denali National Park. Seafood was excellent. Great presentation, nice wine list, delicious desserts. Watch carefully for the mile marker as it sets back off the road in the trees!

We had an excellent meal here. The setting is bright, clean and inviting. We ordered a variety of salads for starters, the Caesar was particularly good. Bouillabaisse mains were also a big hit as well as the meatballs and lamb. The wines by the bottle were fairly priced. Heather was our server. She was great with suggestions and recommendations. She... More

We found this restaurant online and decided to give it a try. I made reservations ahead of time (for a party of 8), so I'm not sure how difficult it is to get a table without one. First of all, the staff was incredibly friendly and attentive and the service was speedy. Secondly, the menu selection was extensive and all... More

Lovely decor and atmosphere, including the art on the walls and upstairs. All food was presented beautifully. Portions were a bit on the small size especially the lamb. Bit pricey for the evening but definitely a "classier" place.Halibut was super tasty and prepared just right. Wonderful selection of music in the back round. Service was a bit too formal but... This was a place highly recommended by our nature walk guide at Denali. He got a table for us since we had no reservation after a long day of travelling from Anchorage and then a hiking trip. It was a rainy August day. When I saw bouillabaisse on the menu, I was thrilled. This is Alaska! The seafood (salmon, halibut,... More

After reading reviews, I made a reservation for us months in advance. Good thing I did! There would have been an hour wait. And for good reason since this place prides itself on using fresh and local ingredients when they can. We wanted to try it all, so we each ordered a different appetizer and main course and shared it... More

A friend from Fairbanks recommended that we try 229 Parks if we were near Denali NP during our Alaska vacation. We happened to run across it while looking for another restaurant and, on a whim, decided to wander in. I was a little worried, because we had spent the afternoon in the park, and I was still wearing jeans and... More

This restaurant is a gem! What a wonderful experience. While these folks close seating at 8:30 - they were extremely accommodating and flexible when we arrived late because of unexpected construction closure. The service was prompt and food was sumptuous. This was a very unexpectedly pleasant experience in the middle of wilderness. The chef takes the taste, plating and the... More

Made a reservation for after our Denali Tundra Tour. Took the afternoon tour, then got held up by construction. Finally got there at 9:30 pm for our 9 pm reservation. It would have been better if we had called, but there was no cell service in the park. Nonetheless, they were gracious and served us (quickly) anyway. The best food... More
