When I have an opportunity to go to the Overlook, I am there for dinner and drinks or take advantage of their 1/2 price appetizers during late night. Unless you drive or get a shuttle to help you find this place, you wont find the front door! We hiked up the hill from the road (our hotel was on the other side), and could only find the Exit sign! The food is somewhat pretentious and some of the sauces and spices just dont complement the food. My husband... More

We had read about this place before heading to Alaska. Had been hiking all day in the park and just needed a small bite to eat. Found the Overlook, got seated at a nice table near the window. Had a wonderful server. A bit pricey, but well worth it. I had the crab bisque and scallop salad, of which, both... More

Hello! Thank you for joining us at The Overlook! We're glad that you made the leap (or climb) to try something off the beaten path. The scallops you mentioned hold a special place for us here. We arrived and were seated with a beautiful view of the mountains through huge windows. Our waiter was very nice, attentive, and timed our meal perfectly. My husband had a bisque that was so light, delicate and delicious we couldn't figure out what was in it. I had the shrimp and crab appetizer that was perfect as well. We moved... More

While in Denali on July 1st 2015 , we saw a sign and menu at the bottom of steeply rising pathway and stairs for “ The Overlook at Crowsnest “ which intrigued us as we live in the Crowsnest Pass, Alberta. After a bit of a climb we got to the restaurant and were WOWED with the view and the... More

Definitely a special treat for me and my girlfriend. I have been thinking of proposing and this would have been the perfect place. The views of the mountains were just spectacular. But the food was why I am writing this review. I was so surprised to see such a high end restaurant in Alaska. I had the beets salad and... More

What a surprise to find superb fine dining in a rustic setting with a spectacular view of Denali park snow - dusted mountains! Foie gras, oysters Rockefeller, Asian ribs, seared sesame aji tuna, and that was just appetizers. Very impressive array of entrees, amazing wine list, craft cocktails, and 49th State craft beers. Don't forget to save room for flaming... More

I'm staying at the cabins here and had to write a review about them and a separate one about this place. My first night, after settling in, I needed a drink. The bartender was attentive and knew what he was about. I couldn't believe they had a wine cruvinet. I see them in Chicago, New York, etc but I really... More

Best kept secret of the Denali Park Entrance area. It's up on the hill. It's sign from the road is easily missed as it is drown out by all the other businesses. It's set up on the hill so the view is awesome. During the time we were eating at the table, our table was bussed three times! We were... More

The big sign announces "BEER", but this aint no beer bar. Fine dining is the deal here, oh yeah and a spectacular view. Service is wonderful, food, amazing, portions are really small for the price and location. Well worth the hike though.
