This was a nice surprise, given its relatively remote location and connection with non-upscale accommodations. If you can find your way along the gravel road (follow the moose figures) you will be rewarded with great food and a great view of nearby mountains and woods. Homemade wheat bread was a tasty way to start. Salads were good. Entree's of salmon... More

This is a great small restaurant. The place smelled great when I walked in and the staff was friendly. I ordered the caesar salad with halibut- what an amazing dinner. The fish was cooked perfectly. It was a relaxing meal, in a beautiful setting- with great views of the surrounding mountains. I didn't do dessert- the large salad with fish... More

Stayed here in late June 2015 on a tour of Alaska. Cabins were very comfortable with en suite. Dinner at the Perch restaurant was great with fresh fish/seafood options. Each table was given homemade bread and it was delicious. Dessert options were the highlight as the owner had about 8 different types to choose from. The Rhubarb berry pie was... More

We stayed in Cabin #3 which is an A-frame with two beds. There was an outlet for two plugs, a heater (didnt need) and two windows, one of which didnt open but it got colder at night anyway. The cabin was clean, with clean sheets. It smelled a little musty but its a cabin and were not that picky. We... More

Love this place- simple, clean and friendly. Family owned with Grandma being a must meet. At at pizza-bar in the evening . great home made crust and they allowed us to combine two different pizzas (ate to much). this pizza was in the top three I've eaten and we have travelled a lot. We then had breakfast, I had the... More

The meals are simple but very well executed. Great breakfasts with endless coffee. Some interesting twists with a hash brown as a base which sounds weird but works well. Price is reasonable and the restaurant is high enough to clear the killer Alaskan mosquitoes. About 13 mile south of Denalie.

This place was excellent! We order the salmon on pasta and the reindeer sausage with pasta. Both were awesome. The fresh baked bread was delicious too! Restrauant was a bit chilly though.

The menu on their webpage was for last year. So we're not able to have the salmon and carabao we were looking for.

We had dinner at the Perch two times. Both times it was very good. It is a wonderful location. The service is friendly and good. The food is good as well. We had halibut, duck and caribou. All were excellent. Also the desserts were very fine.
