Very good and very friendly

We had dinner at the Perch two times. Both times it was very good. It is a wonderful location. The service is friendly and good. The food is good as well. We had halibut, duck and caribou. All were excellent. Also the desserts were very fine.

Our family was staying in the Carlo creek cabins across the street. The Perch restaurant is a rustic, yet upscale restaurant in the woods. Nice custom art. Our service was excellent and I had the best omelet ever. Pancakes were also incredible. Don't miss having a great experience at the Perch.

We were staying at the cabins and thought we'd have a nice breakfast after checking out since our previous two breakfasts consisted of wolfing down protein bars on the bus into the park. This place was wonderful, great service and delicious food. Can't comment on the view as it was raining and cloudy during our meal but I imagine it... More

Stopped here after leaving Cantwell by happenstance. This place has it all, cozy ambiance, great service, delicious food bordering on gourmet! I was there for breakfast but could not help noticing an enticing wine collection. I sat at a window with a lovely view! They have a great back deck with a view of the mountains! I had coffee and... When you are driving up you might think you took a wrong turn. Keep going and follow the moose plackards and you will find this restaurant. It is set on a hill (the perch) with a beautiful view of the mountains out the windows. The menu wasn't very extensive, but the food was nicely presented and well prepared. We had... More

This was a good dining option in the Denali area, everyone's food was pretty great and the service was excellent. Would definitely eat here again. Note that for 6 or more you would be well advised to make a reservation ahead of time (same day is probably ok, but it's worth calling ahead).

Stayed here for one night in this charming little cabin in a very woodsy area by a creek about 15 miles away from the Park entrance. The Perch has an onsite Bar and Restaurant with great food, drink and service. Would love to go again!

Four of us ate a delicious dinner at the Perch. The owner/host and his wife were friendly, knowledgeable, and well-organized. All of us ordered different dishes, and all of us enjoyed our food, which seemed to have a connection to Polish food. And the windows showed us gorgeous mountains and a lovely deck.

This is a great little place, called The Perch not as in fish but as in perched high up in the tree tops, you quite literally look out of the window at the top of the trees! We had an excellent meal, the crab & sweetcorn soup in duck broth was so tasty as was the caribou with crushed juniper.... More

We ate breakfast at the restaurant, which was slightly pricey but really good. The atmosphere is comparable to a classy mountain resort- wood interior, nice showcase of liquor, with couches as well as tables. I was really impressed with the service- the waiter (owner?) was extremely courteous and attentive.
