Description: The Perch offers you cozy, private cabins, hotel rooms and lodging near Denali National Park. Tucked into the woods and bordered by pristine Carlo Creek, our cabins offer you an Alaskan experience that is truly unique.Tree-top dining at the Perch Restaurant is a wonderful way to begin and end your day. The restaurant is “perched” atop a gravel moraine left by a glacier. Each of our 13 bay windows has a spectacular view of the Alaska range and it's many glaciers. Weather permitting, you can dine on our large deck, or just sit out in the sun and enjoy a cocktail while you wait for dinner.

Had the Dungeness crab legs, asparagus and parsnips. Local beers. Meal was excellent and attentive service from owner and staff. Beautiful view of snow capped mountains from window seats. Excellent experience!

There is just one sign on the Parks Highway, then posts telling you to follow the moose (clever wooden figures) along a dirt road then around a corner and up a hill. There is a plain building that from the parking lot doesn't look like much. Go in and you'll find a comfortable dining room surrounded by a large deck... More

On my 8th trip to Alaska and my 3rd trip to the Denali area, our group of 4 was told by our lodge host to try The Perch which was about 15 miles from where we were staying in Cantwell. We had a terrific dinner. The flash fried brussel sprouts were fantastic. I had the crispy duck tacos with house... More

This is one of the best restaurants we've ever eaten at. The food is fantastic. The owner and wife made the meal very enjoyable. Highly recommended. Following the moose to the restaurant was a cute idea. Richard and Denise (California)

My wife and I just finished a great dinner with good service by the owners in a non touristy atmosphere. This way a pleasant surprise in the Denali area. If you want not to be treated like a tourist - You must give this restaurant a try!

We arrived at the cabin today and what a surprise! The cabin looks neat outside and well laid out inside. Wood furniture and floor plus a second bed in the attic, very cute and kids love it.

A quaint little place in the middle of nowhere. Sitting in a valley between majestic mountains, sites are unbelievable. we were surprised at the quality of the food. Their carribou medallions are to die for,and their sticky ribs are fabulous. Must go when in the area.

Very nice service, kind people and very willing to help with some small changes of the menu. The food is kind of home made, good and somewhat cheaper then 229. Due to the kind service and good food we got back the next day and the feeling was the same. Nothing fancy but good.

The view from the perch was beautiful as it faced the mountains. The menu had a lot of variety and the food was really good. The wine list was not long, but we loved what we had. The owners were lovely people and shared some stories with us. We were hoping for a nice dinner out and was very pleased... More

The owner (second generation) warmly greeted us. We were not hungry and only shared a salad, but dressing was excellent and the salmon grilled to perfection.
