Great Food

We had a dinner and breakfast here and the food was above average. For the dinner, we had king & baird crab legs. I had a standard eggs over easy w meat and potatoes and my wife had her usual eggs benedict.

A bit pricy for simple food. King Salmon very tasty but a bit over cooked. Accompaniment was string beans and quionoa salad. Not what I would expect for $38. Husband had citrus grilled salmon was a small portion nothing special. Even my martini was served in a small glass. Should be special but wasn't.

The ambiance at the King Salmon is very good and the food is great. You pay abit more for the atmosphere but for a fancy night out its worth it.

The setting overlooking the mountain range is lovely but I found the food to be expensive and merely average - confirming my suspicions of a big hotel venue. The salmon was good enough but nothing special. The desserts sounded spectacular (tiramisu for example) but were disappointing. It takes a lot for my kids to fail to finish their desserts. This... Went here for a late lunch right after our arrival in Denali. We had an excellent server and our view was very nice. The atmosphere in the restaurant is very inviting. The food was only average. Perhaps their evening meals are better. The meal was better than the meals in the Princess Fairbanks location.

We had a person who was not able to climb stairs and the hostess seemed a little miffed that we couldn't go upstairs. We did get a nice table by a window with a good view. The pop was flat, after my third attempt I felt bad for the server and just kept it, had I known it was almost... More

After a bad experience at the McKinley Chalet bar and not being excited about the hole in the wall restaurants across the street, I decided to try King Salmon. I'm so happy I did! My knowledge is limited but I have to imagine it is the nicest restaurant in the area. It overlooks Denali so the view is incredible, the... More

Given the build-up this restaurant got from the Princess staff, I expected more. 4 of us had dinner here, 3 had king crab and snow crab legs, which were very good but were $49 I would pay that much or LESS at home in Chicago. I had go-figure! SALMON, and it was overcooked (again!) more overcooked salmon in Alaska, I... More

We ate breakfast here on 3 mornings of our stay. The setting is lovely. There was a family of mew gulls just outside the back windows that were fun to watch. The food was good. They had simple to fancier offerings. My younger son enjoyed the lingonberry stuffed french toast. I liked the biscuits and gravy. My older son liked... More
