Delicious!

This spot was connected to a larger, fancier restaurant (King Salmon) on the Princess Wilderness Lodge site. It had an equally nice view out the back windows. It was pricey too, but not as bad. Our server, Marie, was friendly and very helpful. My husband and I split the (not at all spicy) seafood... read more

Boy, was I lucky in ordering the prime rib sandwich. It was to-die-for delicious. The meat was tender and juicy and the chiabata bun was just perfect. My husband was back in the room not feeling well so I took him an order of the prime rib sandwich and he agreed that it was superb. One of our party ordered... More

The best thing about this facility was the view on the deck. The food was just so so and the service blah. Our bus driver raved about their Mac n cheese and it was average at best. Would not recommend at all

This place was so noisy it sounded like a riot when you walked in and the noise never let up. The noise carried from the kitchen where they prepared food and the waiters banging the dishes in an open area. So they crank up the music to cover the noise and everyone has to yell to be heard when they... More

Very pretty venue, but extremely loud. The food was just average. Two people in my party of six had the prime rib sandwich, which was very dry and quite overcooked. I had the Denali nachos that have crab and shrimp. Some of the crab was of the fake variety and the shrimp were the microscopic type. I'd sure like to... More

This was our first hot meal after spending two days on nothing but backpacking food. So of course it was good! The views from the restaurant are very nice, though the weather was not such that we could really enjoy them. We had a one of the best waitresses I have ever had, she legitimately cared about taking care of... More

We arrived at Princess lodge late the first night. Too tired to find other restaurant, so tried this place next to our hotel building. I ordered petite size sirloin steak 4oz, it tastes like rubber! Have never had a steak so bad ever. My husband ordered petite size seafood casserole, was pretty good. So we traded the dishes. I could... More

While at the Princess Denali Lodge the first night we ate at Base Camp Bistro. The decor is nice and it is casual, but the food is just average. I got a sandwich with very salty chips and my husband got some kind of fish. He liked his but said he's had better. We just thought it was ok, but... More

This restaurant was very busy, since a number of tour buses had dropped off many people to stay at the hotel late that afternoon, like us. We had to wait about 45 minutes to get a table. The food my party ordered was well received by my party of four and the restaurant had very good ambiance. I had the... More

The wife and I were on a Princess Cruise Tour and were staying our first night at the Denali Princess. They have two full service restaurants on the property literally right next to each other. One, "The King Salmon", seemed more upscale than we were in the mood for so we opted for the "Base Camp Bistro". We're very glad... More
