Decent Dinner

We had prime rib and it was decent and reasonably priced. My son and husband enjoyed their dinners. I had soup and salad from the salad bar. The salad bar was not to my liking but the guys said their self prepared salads were okay. They had iceberg lettuce with limited fixings. The onion soup... read more

If you're looking for a quick and not-to-expensive bite to eat, Foster's has good portions, they make good chicken and great steak, and it comes with a soup and salad bar, which isn't too extensive but it's fine. This is a perfectly good restaurant, and it's quaint too if you like that.

We ate at Ruby's in Bryce Canyon on Saturday and it was Horrible. so on Sunday we went to Foster's and the foor was half the price and was Much much better than Rubys. We were very happy with the food and service we received at Foster's. The food is resonably priced and the waiter was very friendly. We had... More

Driving out of Bryce Canyon, we stopped @ Fosters because it was in one of our guide books. The hotel looked HORRIBLE and i would definitely recommend you find a place elsewhere. However the steak house was great - it was very rustic/70's ish but the food was good (i got fried chicken and my boyfriend got grilled chicken) and... More

Stopped with my family to grab a quick lunch during our visit to Bryce. The processed-meat burgers were just plain bad. The chicken sandwich was OK. The iced-tea was possible the world's worst. Looking for something positive: I will say that the waitress was very friendly.

We stopped in for an early dinner. Everything about the place was worn out looking. The staff was bare minimum, so there was a lot of waiting. As it turned out, there wasn't anything worth waiting for. Nothing on the dinner menu looked appealing, so we ordered sandwiches. I had the French Dip, my husband had a hamburger. Both came... More

Among the worst places we've ever eaten. My wife and I both ordered steaks and the meat was tough and flavorless. My father-in-law ordered the trout and he wasn't happy with it either. I will say that my kids both ordered hamburgers and they looked pretty good and my kids said they were fine.

Given the limited number of eateries outside Bryce Canyon, we needed a break from Ruby's, so we branched out to Foster's Family Steak House. We thought we had chosen "safe" selections from the menu (beef stir-fry and turkey club sandwich) but couldn't have been more wrong. The beef was very fatty, the "turkey" was at best a pressed meat product... More

We mistakenly came here for dinner one evening mid-week in October. We were seated promply and the waitress took our order... and then never came to our table again. We made a couple of polite inquiries along the way, but after 50 minutes (!) with no food - not even bread - we just left. The table next to us... More

My husband and I stayed in Tropic for three nights while visiting Bryce Canyon National Park in March. We found Foster's on our second night and came back on our last night there. As previous reviewers have said, the place is not fancy. Yes, it does have red vinyl/plastic covering the chairs and a 60's feel to it. However, we... More
