Great view! However the food was poor! For the price you spend on the food you are better off going to another local restaurant! Very expensive and no quality in meals.

The climb through the hills to Mount Tamborine is beautiful and once you arrive at St. Bernards Hotel it is well worth stopping for a quiet drink and/or meal. The restaurant and outdoor eating area overlook the most beautiful hill views with the gardens nestled into the side of the hill. We were lucky and quite a few of the... More

Only 30 min drive from the Gold Coast Tamborine offers a real difference. St Bernards has been operating for 70 years plus. Judging by the crowd on this Sunday it is still popular. It offers an old world experience with over the top prices. It is pub food at restaurant prices. View is good but there are much better on... More

Firstly lets just say when I told people I was heading to Tamborine several friends recommended this place and I wasn't disappointed. The place was lovely with a great view and we got to pat the big St Bernards which was a highlight for my wife. I got the cheese kranskys for lunch and my wife got the fish and... More

The food was nice but very expensive for a hotel. Will clean off plates but we had to clean our own table when we sat down. Very busy, couldn't get a table for a while. Won't bother going again as we drove 200km to go there for lunch. 2 x hot pots with a pastry lid and pate and bread... More

What a find! Great views and delicious food albeit a little pricey for what it was but so is everything on Mount Tamborine. Really nice Calamari cooked to perfection. My partner had the Ploughman's Lunch which had all very fresh ingredients even home baked fresh bread roll. Nice to finally find a place with decent food at Mt Tamborine (good... More

We were lucky enough to score a table on the outside terrace on a glorious winters day. The view is breathtaking. Good menu to choose from and prices reasonable considering the location. Get there early as the kitchen is only open between 12 - 2pm and 6 - 8pm but they do take reservations. It was extremely busy, not sure... More

We had dinner here whilst staying nearby. The cuisine was tasty and perfect for a relaxed dinner. The house wine list and beer selection a welcome addition decor in keeping with a german/english establishment. An area for small children would be welcomed by parents. Would be a lovely location on a spring or summer evening to linger and enjoy the view.

Met the owner in the local library and she (naturally) suggested I eat there. I did. Great atmosphere, very good food which was fresh, plentiful and tasty. Fair wine selection and homely. I would recommend this to anyone wishing to r e l a x and simply enjoy the atmosphere and food.
