We visited that pub yesterday afternoon and I have to say that the food wasn't very nice this time. My husband chips where burnt and quite smelly of burnt oil and my lasagne was overcooked. At the first visit we had a pleasure to have a delicious meal but yesterday our late lunch put us off-shame. The staff were very friendly... More

We Visited the Irby Mill a few Saturdays ago after hearing good things about it. The location is lovely - and the pub itself is very pretty with its thatched roof and lovely beer garden. We had made a reservation a few days prior which I'm glad of as it was very busy. Despite the business, the waitress was quick... More

Had dinner with friends after ramble in local area. It was a good job we had booked as the pub was very busy (5 p.m. Saturday). Six of us all had different main meals and everybody said they had enjoyed them. I had burger, very nice, the chips were excellent. For sweet a few of the company had a half... More

A nice old country pub with great food and real ales. A great outside seating area and good service. Service was friendly although the food was a bit slow in arriving - we put this down to it being made fresh. The pub has an old fashioned atmosphere and interesting architectural details.

First visit to this pub. Lovely quaint little pub, with welcoming & friendly staff. Arguably the nicest fish & chips I've ever had the privilege to eat! Simply superb!

I had a business lunch here with a colleague. They have a very good range of beers so that gets things off to a good start. I intended to have ribs, but they had run out so I had sea bass instead. I'm glad I had to change. I love ribs, but choose them a bit too often. The fish... More

We are lucky enough to be able to walk to this welcoming and friendly gem of a local. A dog friendly pub is a thing to cherish! There is a good outside seating area to enjoy a pint of one of the guest beers before enjoying excellent food. All in all a great place to meet friends and family.

Ideal for good pub food after a walk in the surrounding area. Equally great atmosphere at all times with good selection of wines a real ale.

Visited early Sunday evening, busy, but not overly so. Very helpful, friendly staff found my wife & I a table and immediately served our drinks. We had Sea Bass and Chicken Pie respectedly. Both meals were very good indeed. A most impressive visit backed up with a very good selection of Real Ales and wines.
