Very Nice Pub Grub.

This is our 2nd visit to this Pub and the last time we visited I said we would not return, (see my other review) We were staying about 10 miles from Winterton On Sea and most of the places where we were staying don't serve food on Mondays, so we decided to give this pub a second chance, and we... read more

Visited here when staying in the village for a short break..Off season but very welcoming! Lovely warm fire burning. The Staff were very friendly and efficient. The food was fresh tasty and lots of it. OMG portions were huge and hot. Thanks to the staff for their service and warm welcome. Oh yes and the drinks were good too ;)

I never normally think to do reviews, but on this occasion I felt I wanted to. We had a lovely warm welcome even though the kitchen staff were about to stop serving. The food was delivered promptly and well presented. The 3 of us all enjoyed lovely looking/tasting meals in a charming and welcoming place. The staff were extremely pleasant... More

Nestled in a charming Norfolk seaside village this pub is a real gem. A traditional English pub (which we were allowed to take our two dogs into, and four grandchildren) for a lovely meal, well kept Ales, and efficiently exceptionally warm and friendly service. Well done to all concerned with the running of this fine example of a village hostelry.

Ten of us descended on the Fisherman's Return last night, including four children aged four and under and two dogs. We were made most welcome. I loved the Italian Zinfandel, not as sweet as the US equivalent. I had the grilled plaice which was delicious. There was a slight issue with the lamb burgers, but this was resolved in a... More

I am always put off when a place has scaffold all round it, and advertises a limited menu, however we were staying in the village for a few days break, and decided to give it a try. Very well kept real ale with plenty of menu choice; if that is a cut down menu then I would hate to see... More

Have been coming to this pub for many years and Is a firm favourite. Cosy and welcoming, plenty of tables and even more with the extensions taking place. Menu varied for everyone, whether fancying light snack or hearty meal. Very dog friendly which is a bonus with so many lovely walks along the dunes on the doorstep. Heartily recommend,

My wife and I spent a few days up in Winterton this week and I just wanted to add another quick review of the Fisherman's as the food, once again, was really good! We ate here both nights and this was our second visit since the building work started and can honestly say having the smaller kitchen whilst this is... More

Spent a few evenings in here as we were staying in a nearby cottage on a weeks break. It's what I call a real pub, good selection of ales, nice friendly locals and staff. The meals were great and reasonably priced and best of all the dog was allowed in with us. What more can you say - perfect.
