We were so pleased to stumble upon this place. We have a daughter (10 months at the time) and it is often difficult to find good pubs/restaurants that are also child friendly. A great menu and really good-quality, well-cooked food. The pub also has a great, friendly, busy atmosphere. We enjoyed a beautiful duck wrap and chicken burger. The deserts... More

We've been to this pub 30 times over the last 10 years and it was always very good until this year. Service was awful had to wait 1 hour for a starter which was then not properly cooked. Mentioned this to staff who didn't seem bothered. The manager was running all over place moving chairs that he then hit me... More

Two visits this week, the second made special by a Morris dance troupe! Food portions are huge (too much side salad) bit very tasty. Lovely desert. Great atmosphere - fab village pub.

It is a very family friendly pub, I had no problems sitting in the bar in the evening with my 7 year old daughter enjoying a pint of their own ale (I was, not her, she had... More

We visited this Pub 17/7 we were seated at table 4, we placed our order for food and drinks at the Bar, The table was very dirty and we asked the waitress if she could clean the table before our meals were served. Our meal was ruined by the foul language by one of the customers, who was talking very... More

My husband had no choice but to eat his meal,... More

We visited on a Saturday evening and it was fairly busy at 7.15. By 7.30 it was heaving and you can't book which is fine but maybe you need to think about your arrival time if you have young children. Excellent choice of ales and different style of wine glasses. We didn't order a starter and thank goodness because the... More
