Surprising 'pub' with great food

Husband surprised me for my birthday with a break here, so I had no preconceived ideas. Welcome and hospitality was great. Enjoyed drinks at the bar then afternoon champagne tea! It's a really lovely old country pub, with low, beamed, ceilings but with a 'different' twist of a bit of leopard... read more

Went for dinner with friends in the bar. The service was excellent and the food was good. Portions were a little on the small side. It was very overpriced for the size and quality of the meals.

This is oh so typical of the type of restaurants in Kent that are just interested in profit and think that customers are fooled - no not all of us are

We had both an A La Carte meal and a Bar meal, I measure a pub on their food on their Burger, at £13 a bit pricey but chunky chips yummy and the burger was exceptionally tasty. The Restaurant meal was excellent we asked to compliment the chef, we had scallops and pigs cheek followed by duck and pheasant, all... More

Have just returned home after enjoying a fantastic meal at The Who'd Have Thought It. Was a little confusion when we arrived as we thought we had booked the Christmas menu but wasn't a problem and ordered from the Ala Carte menu which had many wonderful dishes to choose from. Everything right from the starter through to dessert was delicious.... More

After spending £50 on a cab. I would not rate this restaurant. The service is hit and miss Product knowledge by the staff is poor. Tables small and cramped. On a plus side wine good. Food is tasty. Did not like sitting near the door. Especially when the singer left and door being constantly opened. After asking for a brandy... More

I was astonished that such a small hotel in the middle of nowhere could be almost perfect!!! Small, quaint and romantic. The food was impeccable. Every bite was imaginatively delicious. Both dinner and breakfast. Presentative better than some five star restaurants I've eaten And service was spot on good. Nothing negative to report. Recommended...

Me and boyfriend stayed for one night and dined twice at the restaurant. The restaurant décor is consistent of that throughout the hotel, very luxurious and had a very cute outside smoking area with cushions and throws. Dinner: The chair I was seated at I had to ask to swap as this was made of plastic bamboo and very uncomfortable... More

We have been here on a few occasions and has been good! So we recommended to friends we should go as food is lovely.. Or was! We arrived to find our table wasn't even ready so had to wait in the bar for 30mins where the locals who drink here were not friendly at all. Not nice atmosphere. Finally sat... More
