Best pie in the area! Super delicious..

After coming across this place on TripAdvisor after a disappointed trip to bicester village we thought we'd try it out. On first impressions the atmosphere was very nice, cosy, warm, friendly and a nice general layout. I was slightly puzzled as to why there weren't actually any menus just one huge board listing the many different pies and specials above... More

We had previously been to the one in banbury that has since closed down so we had to give this one a try. Happy to say it was just as good as our visit to the one in banbury, the pies were superb! So this is a really old pub that has been done out to a very high standard... More

First class meal, nothing else to say really. Pies to suit every guest, piping hot and crammed with the food of your choice. We had been there some time ago and were slightly disappointed but this time all I can say is that whoever is in charge is making the right decisions.

We were looking for somewhere to grab an early evening bit to eat following a lovely Deddington circular walk around the Swyre valley and Daeda's wood and found this unexpected gem. Its more of a restaurant than a pub but the Selection of Pies and Pud's are great - with Hookey Ale to sup whilst you're waiting - what more... More

We had Sunday lunch here last week and enjoyed a pleasant experience. We both, unsurprisingly had a pie, the pork and stuffing one was a really nice tasty alternative to a roast. Possibly the veg could be a little more inspiring but still a solid and generous accompaniment. We came here a year or so ago and were a bit... More

Organised a family get together for a family members birthday and we all agreed pie pub was the place to be ( we all like a good pie)? We had all traveled from different parts of Oxfordshire, Buckinghamshire and Bicester to meet here! The biggest disappointment was even before you entered into the pub there was a sign on the... Arrived at restuarant just after they started serving food, at which point there was only one other table occupied. Placed our orders to be told in my case that the last one of what I had ordered had just been ordered by someone else on our table...(we were the second people in there, how could they be sold out already?!)... Thank you for your comments, I can totally understand your frustration at not getting your first choice pie! Unfortunately at times this is going to happen, all my pies are fresh and normally about 16 varieties are on at any one time, as certain varieties sell out hopefully I have others varieties made ready to be written up on our... My fiancée and I have eaten here a couple times now, indoors and outside. The pub has a nice feeling about it and the outside area is nice for those sunny days we do have here in Blighty. The food is fantastic, a great selection of pies. I had the minted lamb pie and it was incredibly tasty, my fiancée... More
