Hidden gem in Piedmont! Everything is local, fresh, handmade and value for money. The best tajarin pasta i ever had. Veal tar-tar is superb and also ask for other typical meals from fantastic Barolo area. Advice: From late october till late december this place is one of the best for white truffles. A restaurant worth to visit!

Excellent food and wine! The owner tells you the menu options, as there are not so many choices, but everything is fresh and homemade. Even the wine. The Dolceto was very good and with a reasonable price.

This place serves very good traditional local dishes, the pasta is the standout & is as good as anywhere. I had ravioli with sage & butter which was wonderful followed by the veal cooked in wine.I gather it is owned by one of the local Barolo producers as Viberti wines featured only on the wine list.We had a 2007 bricco... Repeat trip to Barolo, so we returned to the excellent food at Buon Padre. Still just as good as ever, however the tourists have discovered them, and so the prices have begun to climb. It used to be an excellent value, no longer so but still delicious food.

I'm a repeat customer over the last four years and always go back to this amazing gem of a restaurant when in northern Italy. There is no comparison. The staff speak English and are extremely helpful, the food is always incredible (much better than many of the restaurants in the area), and the wide range of wines (made by the... More

On an Italian friend's recommendation, my wife and I visited Buon Padre on our last night in Italy and absolutely loved it. We opened up a bottle of the 2006 Viberti San Pietro Riserva Barolo with dinner (very strongly recommended) and were amazed at all of the fabulous, rich flavors of everything we ate (pasta was heavenly) including a plate... We were the only guests, the restaurant was cold, the was no possibility to choose the menue (because there was no cook in the kitchen, only somebody to warm the dishes). The food itself was ok but warmed up, but the presentation was pure, as was the atmosphere of the whole restaurant. If you don't pay attention you risked that... More
