Excellent meal and fantastic cellar eating area

My wife and I came here for a Sunday lunch. Make sure you get a reservation in their lower level dining area, which is essentially their cellar. What a lovely and happening atmosphere!! For lunch we had the tajarin with white alba truffle, veal shank and the egg frittata. Great quality... read more

It is the 3rd time we go to this restaurant. Meals are very well prepared. As an entrée, I suggest you try the plate that comes with small portions of many traditional antipasti from the region. The pasta and the meals based on meat are very good, but I do recommend the Vitello Tonnato. Delicious! Staff and owner are very... More

We were in Barolo for four nights and had dinner there twice. I dined here several times in 2012 so I was looking forward to doing so again. The menu was pretty much the same as I remembered but there were some changes. I wanted my wife to try the Traditional Appetizer assortment that I had enjoyed several times. The... More

This restaurant in the heart of Barolo has a welcoming, uncluttered ambience, white table linens, attentive, personal and friendly service. The menu is short, consisting of authentic Langhe dishes, excellent quality, expertly prepared and nicely presented. The wine list includes the top Barolo producers at reasonable prices. The guests are mostly Italian, a good sign.

Arrived with no reservation but we' were lucky to be seated, there are only 8-10 tables. It's an intimate dining room, decor that's crisp with linens and modern artworks on the walls. Great variety on the menu and we were impressed with our food - plin ravioli with a perfect sage and butter sauce, followed by an incredible slow cooked... More

This restaurant is right in the middle of Barolo on via Roma (it's main street). It seams small when you walk in, but there is a basement which is the place to be on chilly autumn through spring nights. We dinned there twice, and everything was delicious on both occasions. The service was a bit slower on the crowded weekend... More

This was the outstanding dinner of our recent trip to Piedmont. The floor was managed by Irene, easily the most competent maitre d' we have had the pleasure of meeting. Her knowledge of the wines, and matching with the menu , made for a most memorable experience. Clearly there was someone in the kitchen with equal competence, producing food of... More

The restaurant is beautiful and the service was excellent. The women in charge was very helpful with the wine choosing. They have a huge amount of wines to decide from. However from the food we expected more. The starters were great but the main dishes were pretty regular.

We had an exceptional meal at Barolo Rosso. A phenomenal veal crudo, mixed salad and vitello tunato to die for. Our main dishes were a wonderful Barolo risotto for two and then a perfectly prepared tajarin with fresh porcini mushrooms. We shared an amazing chocolate bunet for dessert. Pair you meal with incredibly inexpensive wines from the Piedmonte and this... More

This restaurant has a friendly service and good food, I said good and not excellent. one thing I like is that you can taste among several Barolo wines by the glass. it is good compromise from a wine tasting that you can eat during your meal. they start you off with an amuse bouche and give a bit something to...
