Authentic Italian cooking, glorious setting, just perfect

Lele is one of those traditional restaurants with no menu. The cook sets the courses and the fun begins! One exquisite little delicacy after another was paraded out by the friendly staff, (most of whom are family members) and they keep coming till you beg for mercy. From canape to dessert we had... read more

We were told that it is one of the best traditional piemonte serving restaurants! Could be! The issue is with the staff and the owner of the restaurant! being tourists and non Italian speakers we were automatically treated differently then the locals as if we were not welcome. The service was extremely poor. We had to struggle understand the menu,... More

One exquisite little delicacy after another was paraded out by the friendly staff, (most of whom are family members) and they keep coming till you beg for mercy. From canape to dessert we had about 12 courses, all local specialities. There... More

We had a fabulous experience in this restaurant. No menu, they just bring you course after course. We lost count after about 12 dishes. Half our group were vegetarians and they had tons of choices for us too. Food was one delicious surprise after the next. Plus they tossed in a glass of dessert wine and some grappa at the... More

There was no menu - thats because you get to taste everything the kitchen has cooked, and thats a good thing! Suffice to say that each course was lovely and there were many. The wine was very pleasant and service fantastic. The price? I could not believe it. An all round incredible experience. I will be back.

As vegan travellers it can be hard to find restaurants outside of big cities who are offering vegan options. We found ourselves pleasantly surprised by this wonderful restaurant and the lovely service. We were not just served with delicious vegan anti pasti but also surprised by the incredible taste and quality of the meal. Possible the best restaurant we've been... More

The best food we had on this trip to Italy and we had some excellent food in different areas. The price is very reasonable - in contrast to one particular restaurant we visited - no menu but just go with the flow. You won't be disappointed. Wine is included in the 30 euro per head price and it was excellent... More

While driving from Barolo, our party got hungry. Stopped in the next village: Murazzano... And Trattoria da Lele... A most interesting lunch: no menu, no list on the wall... We sat down, and the courses started arriving... After 7 courses, we just had to stop, after enjoying vitello tonnato, two different pastas, and much more. House dolcetto wine also flowed...... This is a one of a small handful of restaurants in the main piazza in Murazzano. The original restaurant was started in the late 1800s and has been run ever since by successive generations of women from the same family. The current restaurant manager is the daughter of the cook and speaks a little English. This was helpful as we... More

Who is Silvana? Ask for her. She is a wonderful lady, the chef in the most inner part of the kitchen: pragmatic, direct and a little bit shy as only people from Langa can be. She doesn't like to appear, she leaves the floor to others but she is the hearth of everything you will taste and eat when you'll... More

While staying in the langhe you'll notice, that it's hard to find bad food, but at da Lele you find really good food for an excellent price. Go and have lunch and be surprised with all the different courses (no menu!). Enjoy the home made Tajarin, the great appetizers and ofcourse the desserts. Wine, water, coffee and grappa all included.... More
