The best food we had on this trip to Italy and we had some excellent food in different areas. The price is very reasonable - in contrast to one particular restaurant we visited - no menu but just go with the flow. You won't be disappointed. Wine is included in the 30 euro per head price and it was... read more

While driving from Barolo, our party got hungry. Stopped in the next village: Murazzano... And Trattoria da Lele... A most interesting lunch: no menu, no list on the wall... We sat down, and the courses started arriving... After 7 courses, we just had to stop, after enjoying vitello tonnato, two different pastas, and much more. House dolcetto wine also flowed...... This is a one of a small handful of restaurants in the main piazza in Murazzano. The original restaurant was started in the late 1800s and has been run ever since by successive generations of women from the same family. The current restaurant manager is the daughter of the cook and speaks a little English. This was helpful as we... More

Who is Silvana? Ask for her. She is a wonderful lady, the chef in the most inner part of the kitchen: pragmatic, direct and a little bit shy as only people from Langa can be. She doesn't like to appear, she leaves the floor to others but she is the hearth of everything you will taste and eat when you'll... More

While staying in the langhe you'll notice, that it's hard to find bad food, but at da Lele you find really good food for an excellent price. Go and have lunch and be surprised with all the different courses (no menu!). Enjoy the home made Tajarin, the great appetizers and ofcourse the desserts. Wine, water, coffee and grappa all included.... More

We came here because of the excellent reviews on tripadvisor and where not dissapointed. Everything said before is true. From a fixed menu you can choose what you like. We ended up eating 6 courses all delicous with excellent local wine. To owner was very friendly to us and to the 5 kids we brought along. I hope to visit... More

simply great. We entered the place not really knowing what to expect. We were seated and food started coming. After been brought the second course i asked the waiter if we had to order or just accept the food. He was a funny guy and said me, we bring the food and it's going to be a: "pressing experience" (un... More

I was in between giving this trattoria 3 or 4 stars for one reason. We were impressed by how much business this restaurant had on Sunday at lunch (mostly locals) which is always a good sign. We loved the outdoor patio and traditional style look to the place. The owner/server was extremely friendly at first. All my husband and I... More

This is a typical trattoria where the norm is that you are offerred a selection of antipasti (we were offerred 4 hot ones and 4 cold ones), a couple of primi (pasta/gnocchi/risotto), a couple of secondi with a vegetable side dish, cheese and a selection of desserts. You can either ask what is being served and make a selection but... More

Our experience at Trattoria da Lele probably illustrates why so many tourists return to this country again and again. We arrived in Murazzano in the early afternoon hoping to have lunch at Osteria Ra Ca' 'd Baruc only to discover that it was closed. Walking a bit further up the street we discovered Lele, and peering in we found a... More
