Having just moved to the village we ate here last night and thoroughly enjoyed it. Staff are friendly and attentive and the pub retains the feel of a proper local which are few and far between these days. We had the Thai curry and chilli and both were excellent. It's a Wandsworth pub with a good selection of ales and... More

We called in for lunch after visiting Chalfield Manor, so a convenient place to visit. Warm welcome, Wadworth beer only but could be a lot worse and a typical pub menu but maybe a bit heavy on the burgers. Fish and chips very good, nice to see retro 'in the basket' items and the sticky toffee pudding spot on. Only... More

Food was good, tartar sauce was best I've ever had locally. Friendly service and normal prices. Just good pub food. Parking was full even though it's quite large because of extremely bad sideways parking by many patrons so parked ~300m away. I had to sit rather awkwardly at the table as the table bottom was too big with chairs too... More

My husband and I ate here on Saturday lunchtime. Easy to find the pub and parking to the rear. We entered through the garden but main entrance is at the front. Very traditional pub and a cosy and welcoming feel on entering. Large bar area with 5 real ales on tap. There is also a large restaurant area. Both of... More

We've just had lunch at the pub and can say this is a great local pub, very friendly & welcoming serving good, honest home made food. All of the ingredients are fresh, the portions are large,( but smaller plates are available), the choice is very good, not over complicated. We had a pulled pork burger with chips & salad and... 3 of us went for a Saturday lunch, having seen it on the Tastecard website. The pub is attractive from the outside, and inside it feels like an average village pub, with a fairly good sized dining room to the side of the bar. There were no other diners, just some men at the bar. We started with 2 orders... More

I first visited a couple of weeks ago as I had a groupon deal for fish and chips. It was excellent and the chips are so crisp and fluffy inside. Then I had the crème brulee which came with a delicious homemade shortbread biscuit and a scoop of ice-cream. It was so good we decided to visit again this Saturday.... More

all credit to the landlord and landlady this pub is now on the map - lovely warm feeling about the place difficult to pin point but nice - really nice. Good beers and the food was lovely, will be back - again and again!

My wife & I had lunch here today using a Groupon Voucher We both had steak which we both said was cooked exactly to our liking, very nicely served / presented on the plate, we ate every bit!! Included in the offer was a glass of red for my wife & I had a pint of Wadworths Henry's What more... More

This is a nice country pub, however the menu is very small and not very adventurous, Three of the party had chicken fillet burgers and one had the signature beef burger. Food ok, but nothing to shout about. Home made ice cream was lovely though. They did have Roast beef dinner that looked quite nice.

Hi. Thanks for taking the time to leave us a review, we always appreciate any feedback we get. We're so sorry to hear you found the menu to be small. For reference for anyone reading the review, on the day in question we had our regular menu of 13 main course options, 6 basket meal options, 6 smaller portion options,... More
