Nice place to have an evening meal in Mirissa. Fish was very fresh and prepared nicely. Had dinner for two + drinks for 1500rupees, excellent value for money. Great setting, right on the beach. Would definetely recommend!

Ocean Moon was definitely one of the less overtly touristy places on the beach in Mirissa, but their service was fantastic. I have celiac and am gluten free, which they catered to easily - omitting the soy and oyster sauce from my seafood dishes. Portions were fabulous and the fish was as fresh as anything. Absolutely divine!

We vere very satisfied with seafood, spending 2 evenings here. You can pick your favourite fresh fish displayed on the table to be prepared for you . ,,Butter fish '' was very good ( white fish), better taste for us, than the red fish of similar shape ( but also tasty...). Good fruit juices as well. For the fresh fish...

Only had breakfast there. Had the western breakfast set since the Sri Lankan set needed to be pre-ordered the night before. The bread was thick and nicely toasted. the scrambled egg was equally good. Good view while eating...

We ate at quite a few places along the beach, all of which were quite disappointing and tasteless. What a relief to find someone where you can get cheap and tasty local food.

If you want to taste real fresh sea food having a fresh taste.....Try "Ocean Moon".
The other restaurants on the beach display different fishes on the table to choose from.Out of all these fishes its very difficult to know which one is fresh and which is not.I have seen the other beach side restaurants preserving the fishes after the day...

Choose your own fish. Very fresh did not enjoy the Calamari so much being so big tend to be tougher. Everything else was perfect including the service and the settinhg!

Mirissa is famous for it's fresh seafood. Every morning fresh catch is offloaded from the boats that fish in the Indian Ocean. Sirri the owner of this restaurant personally cooks the fresh catch in his distinctive style. Grilled Lobster and Red Snapper are his specialities. He smothers the meat in garlic and lemon and then cooks it on the grill....
