Wonderful steaks, cooked on a wood fire. Fabulous wine. A great welcome and great service. Just beware, it's not open on Sunday, so make sure you have a backup plan!

Great food, wine, service and ambience, what more could you ask for? I've travelled a lot in France and this restaurant ranks amongst the very best. The food is fabulous, plenty of great classic French dishes on offer like duck confit, foie gras etc., awesome steaks (and other meat) linked to a friends (?) farm (host proudly explains and shows... We've eaten here a few times over the last few years. Great ambience in the little square. The confit is superb, and the warm chevre salad quite nice. Kind of a de riguer stop for us when we are in the area every year or so. Recommended.

We stayed overnight at the nearby campsite and wandered into the village to find an evening meal. We were pleasantly surprised by the menu. The food and service were outstanding, the best meal of our three week trip! My husband's fantastic steak was outclassed by my duck and the creme brûlée smooth and crunchy! Well worth a visit :)

We waited to eat at this restaurant (it opened for dinner at 7) and had a great dinner. The service was very friendly and the pizza and salads that we had were very good. The portions were large. A nice place that we would go back to.

Had a great meal at La Taverne whilst staying round the corner at La Souqueto (a great B&B!). We sat outside in the warm evening air and had the three course meal which was great value at 28 euros. I had the goats cheese salad to start which was great followed by lamb chops which were delicious and very well... More

We encountered this little bistro about 18 years ago when it was called Le Bec Fin. The cooking of local products was done with flair and the general standard was high. When the owners left, another couple made a fine job of things but in the last two years the restaurant passed into new hands and its character declined. So... More

Hidden away in a little village, good range of food and wine at a affordable prices. Well worth a visit but book if you want to sit outside, it is very popular with the locals. Very friendly.

I come to this little village bistro very often - and I send most (all) of my B&B clients here. Why? Because it is reliably and consistently good, it has a great atmosphere and a caring service. The menu is simple (though not a repetition of the same dishes that one finds in every restaurant here), the food is delicious... More
