A different stop on our winery tour

A fun place- large gift shop and reasonable prices and they offered a spirits or cider tasting as well as wine. Counter was too small for the number of guests. Lunch are clean, bright and reasonably priced. Worth a stop for sure.

You can sit outside by the apple orchard and try a sampler of drinking ciders, order a great lunch and then wander the grounds. The staff is very nice, friendly, informative and helpful. I wish we could have stayed longer.

First cidery experience and I was pleasantly surprised. Staff were knowledgeable about their products.

Lovely setting - tasting was expensive ($5 per person) although it does go to charity. Found our server a little abrupt although very knowledgeable. Just need not to be rushed along - there was nobody waiting in line for a tasting. Will maybe go back if the reason was right.

This is a hard review to write because there is so much I like about Merridale. Wonderful and welcoming staff, great views, and such a warm ambiance. However it is overpriced. We go for ambiance and the peaceful setting, but each time we think that we really didn't get good value. I will bite the $9.50 price for the pint... More

This place is definitely a must visit! They have it all, an amazing dining experience, our meals were truly an unanticipated surprise. Local ingredients combined with the onsite made ciders made it unique as well as added an element the put it over the top. The service was first class and in our opinion the value for the dollar was... More

I'm a local, and gave Merridale one more chance yesterday. Now its off my list forever. The service was terrible, again - I don't expect an angry attitude from the kitchen or the server if I ask for a substitution, especially after I was told "no substitutions". Then was given a completely sub-par plate of food, and when I mentioned... More

We have been here twice for lunch in the past two weeks with friends visiting the Island. Tried a few different menu items and were very impressed. The food was very good and flavourful, the server was very friendly and professional. We love taking friends here.

The cider is good. Very good. But (and it's a BIG "but") I do not like paying the tourist prices for their product. I went their for a meal there years ago and the experience was not good (it really was amateur hour - mediocre food and poor service). Haven't been back to their restaurant since. They should stick to... More

spring is a good time to visit. all the trees are in blossom and very pretty. you can take a nice walk through the orchard, sample some ciders and have a nice lunch. I've eaten here a couple times. once for lunch and once for dinner. both times the food and service was great.
