Now this was a find. Even for someone who isn't in to coffee, which I am not, I still managed to find a suitable beverage. It was quiet and relaxed inside, which was an added bonus for me, as I hate to be rushed. We opted to share a Panini and an orange-coconut brioche. They were excellent, the brioche in... More

There are some edibles (and pretty good ones at that) and a few fresh sandwiches but this place is all about coffee. Geir and family started Serious Coffee and sold it off and ... well, this is their latest iteration of excellent Vancouver Island coffee and Carsen is coming into his own. It's never ever a rush-busy-chaos coffee-chain situation so... More

Drum roaster really knows how to roast a lovely bean and then turn it into a nice cuppa. The home made baked goods and sandwiches are also very nice. They've got a nice little area to sit down with your friends inside or out.

We decided to try it after a colleague visiting from Toronto had to make a special trip to the Drum Roaster after he read a coffee blogger's recommendation. We had never heard of it prior. Definitely worth the drive from Victoria. We ended up sitting and sipping for a couple of hours enjoying the coffee and the wifi. A great... More

Great coffee but the owner needs to value customers. I did not appreciate being spoken to in such a rude manner. There are lots of other coffee shops on the way to Victoria where the staff treats you with respect.I won't be back to Drumroasters!

If you like great tasting coffee (not that burnt stuff that certain well known franchises do) you'll love the drumroaster. Friendly staff, great coffee!

Great coffee, and brioches and wonderful atmosphere and a great place to run into all your friends. They offer soup and sandwiches for lunch and sell coffee and espresso makers and Gar and Pat are very knowledgeable.

Geir and his family opened drum roaster a few years back. They ARE coffee people. More importantly they ARE customer service people. The coffee here is roasted on premises and among the best coffees you will drink in BC. The brioches fresh from the oven every morning are to die for. But what really makes it is the people. They... We never pass Drumroaster on our trips to Gabriola without stopping. They have the best coffee in the west. They have great casual food as well, but our favourite are the brioche. If you are able to get there in the morning order my favourite orange coconut brioche or a cinamon brioche - out of this world.

You think you are in Italy! Perfect coffee with beans roasted at Drumroaster. Bakes everything there and prepares all pastries, sandwiches and soups at Drumroaster. Clean inside and outside patio. Friendly staff. Great teas, sells top of the line Italian coffee makers and grinders. Baristas are great drink makers and artists when you have a coffee drink with milk.
